We've been to our 1st social and it was awesome BUT there were a few people at the social who said they wouldnt be going due to illness and had on their status they were ill all weekend. My question is ....

Do people put pressure on socials? If you arrange to meet up they think something must happen?

My understanding of an arranged social is for people to meet up, have a drink, a good night with no pressure or am i missing something?? Has anyone else experinced this?

Betty

It appears to be a social dessert round my neck of the woods, or should that be oasis?, keep looking and trying but no joy so be thankful you at least have them.

In our experience no, people don't put pressure on at socials. We have only ever met one person who misunderstood the intention behind a social.
