We travel via dover, when heading to france and with a caravan in tow, then usually head down towards Bordeaux, that's usually done in a couple of day's from leaving home.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Or you could also investigate the Plymouth-Roscoff route. Would be dead easy from South Cumbria - M6 - M5 - A38

We live in NW Brittany, the only sensible ways are to fly from Manchester to Brest. Or Brittany Ferries from Plymouth to Roscoff or Portsmouth St Malo, It depends on your plans and where you want to go, Brittany is a big place.....

Always happy to offer tourist services

Thanks everyone, going Plymouth to Roscoff on the Ferry, turned out to be most cost-effective of all the options

Go straight to plymouth and take a ferry to saint malo or roscoff it's easier than going to paris first unless you want to visit paris.
