What did people do before internet and TVs?

I did ask my 17 brothers and sisters but they didn't know.

I don't know about tv's but before the internet and mobile phones I used to go hang around with my friends I was never in the house as a kid it was safer back then. But I do think todays society is too dependent on modern technology kids don't hang out anymore they just text, facetime or whatever. If a solar flare ever happened that took out all the satellites the planet would come to a standstill and chaos would ensue.

Worthing

Played football with mates, went to cinema, listened to rock music. Read comics. Played on bike. I do recall being outside for most of my childhood during spare time.

Played British Bulldog, kick the tin, knock knock ginger and when I was old enough to be allowed out of the street I'd walk the estate looking for my mates.

I do find it hard sometimes to understand modern life. I use these forums when im a

t home as i dont really watch television. I used to do crafty stuff until my eyes got to bad.

I also find it difficult that people dont go out and do stuff as much.

Oddly i noticed it last friday i got a lot of messages from guys in their 20s, it would of been unheard of for lads of that age to stay in on a friday.

But i am aware of the cost of living these days and it would be impossible for someone on an average income to do what we used to do.

I can see when my grandchildren grow up everything they do socially will be via the internet

We were children of the Internet era. No idea how the world functioned before its existence
