Mine was for correcting a girl who said in a message that we had mutually agreed not to meet for sex after we had met for a social. When I reminded her that the decision was all hers (I never got an explanation), I was magically blocked!

Blocking is the best cut down on time wasters and helps u c who u really fancy every one got a type and if had more filters could pin point who u r looking for

So blocking some one help every one to find what they r looking for so don't take it as a bad thing it's a good thing

Glass half empty or half full it's how u look at it

Well just the way we c it

Mine *might* be the same - I noticed yesterday someone I've never spoken to had blocked me. The only time I've ever interacted with them previously was when I Fabbed a pic of theirs on one of the pic fabbing threads! Ah well, I've counterblocked them back.

I woke up once to a nice message sent at 1.30am (when I was offline). When I went to reply in the morning I was blocked. Either I didn't respond quickly enough (I was asleep FFS!) or they sobered up!

Some people block us for being so far out of their league that they would feel uncomfortable swinging with us.

.

.

(At least that's what I like to tell myself is the reason )

Mrs ddc once tried blocking me for sending continual "Bring me a cup of tea" PMs while she was answering her mail. Fortunately you can't block yourself...

op if your blocked how do you know the reason you were block .

I'm blocked by a few on here found this out in a fab post. what I find absolutely hilarious about that fact is this .

I never interacted with them to my knowledge by that I mean messages them or shown any interest in them what so ever than maybe quote one of their posts .

the reason I find there behaviour hilarious is there behaviour says more about them as a person that it does me .

especial because I don't block on grounds peoples opinions about me on here don't mean didly shit to me and because of that fact I feel no need to block anyone .

The block button has it's uses although I am often surprised that people go to the effort of blocking me; as I do not send messages routinely...

..however to each their own; blocking people on the forums is not something I would do; if they have a different opinion to me; well thats as it should be; no need to get all juvenile about it and its not like we would message each other. If blocking peeps on the forums stopped you seeing their posts, then I would probably understand.

Anyway... only the people that have blocked me know why; and fair play to them. I don't block anyone other than through the filtering system (sorry lads); I would like to think I am mature enough to respect a different opinion.

Happy days and peace.......

From time to time I stumble across a profile that has blocked me. With almost all I have no idea why. Sometimes I shrug and think "that's a shame" but mostly I couldn't really care less.

I do wonder if I know them in the real world sometimes as I can think of no other logical explanation 99% of the time (ie with no previous contact whatsoever).

If you're blocked you're blocked. I block for lots of reasons. I don't tell someone why they are blocked because I don't have to, but I do it for things that matter to me, usually rudeness.

And I don't get all testy if someone blocks me. I pull my big girl pants up and get on with living my life. No biggie.

"Meh! Every now and then I notice folks I have never conversed with in any way to my knowledge that have blocked me. It happens I guess "

I have seen some people, who search for their own meets, say that they do this either to ensure they don't accidentally PM people repeatedly, or so people who they simply don't fancy (or don't meet either of their preferences) don't pop up in their searches. So it isn't necessarily because of something you have done.

Also, when reading the cheater/married threads, if you listen very carefully, you can often hear the block buttons being pressed

Most of ours follow semi-abusive PMs concerning one of my posts. I take that as an indication that I have won the argument

My Own Little World

I was blocked by a couple who contacted me and asked for a meet at theirs as their wife wants to play with me.

So I messaged back that I'm straight, don't meet couples or do private meets as it says all over my profile (when not hidden). Also I only play at clubs which I go to with my husband. Ranty message back - what husband you are meant to be a single woman we are going to report you - then block.

FFS it is on the profile several times I'm married, that although I go to clubs with hubby, there is no way I'm going with a stranger, we do our own thing there, so do play as a single.

I block someone if I make contact and then I'm ignored, that a "message understood loud and clear" moment. So I block them so i don't annoy them by messaging again by mistake (getting very forgetful in my autumn years and people do change profile names, contents and pics). It's not to be hurtful or arrogant! It's to save everyone's time and further bother.

So I see blocking as a positive action, it makes sense ... whatever the reason it's the blocker's decision and a clear message is conveyed.

Blocking although obviously necessary in cases and warranted, personally haven't got anybody blocked and currently have no intention of doing so.

Jusy wonder how many friendships, loves, steamy affairs have started out with people with seemingly polar opposite outlooks and profile preferences wouldn't have happened, may happen, if everybody adopted tit-for-tat blocking.

For a forum quote I'd posted months earlier saying I go routinely every 12 weeks for STI checks regardless of whether I'd particularly been at high risk since my last test.

I got blocked and defriended after what I thought was a perfectly pleasant social with a seemingly popular single guy ... I wouldn't have thought anything of it as I'd explained I didn't want to take things further with him so it was fair enough him blocking me if we were never going to play. However, immediately *prior* to being blocked, he'd posted a number of passive aggressive statuses regarding meets so it came across as rather pointed - and very childish - sour grapes about being turned down. I just thought it was funny .....

We block people who are offensive, who won't take no for an answer, who query why we've not responded within 10 mins, who clearly haven't read our profile, who send the exact same cut and pasted message repeatedly, who arrogantly profess to know what we want, even though that's the opposite of anything indicated in our profile or people who show themselves up as untrustworthy because their messages are at complete odds with their profile.

That doesn't make sense to me. Surely if someone doesn't want their pictures fabbed by complete strangers, then either remove the option to have your photos fabbed, or don't post pictures in the public gallery. Fabbing a picture is not synonymous with having contact with someone. Certainly if we were to block every person who fabbed our pictures, who we didn't want contact with, we would be blocking practically everybody. And that's no fun at all!

Once after a week or so of being inundated with uninvited cock pics, I got really fed up, and in my irritation posted the following status, 'do single men really think a picture of a cock is the way to get a hotwife into bed?' Of course we had lots of messages from white knights saying they would never do such a thing! And then we got a message saying 'what hotwife?'. When I clicked on his profile he had blocked us. I guess blocking ensured I wouldn't be able to lip back.

But yeah, we only block if we really feel have to, ie if people are making a bit of a nuisance of themselves. We won't block just because we were rejected - if you click on a profile you can see if you've winked or messaged someone before.

I don't know why people block us. They don't usually tell us why. I don't much care, either.

The weirdest reason I've blocked someone is because the guy had the same name as my brother and I was in a bad mood.

Whichever way you look at it blocking is a filtering tool which when used for whatever reason, ultimately means your not going to be having anything to do with them, whether as the blocker or blockee. Why care and why let it bother you?

I'm generally blocked as a result of disagreeing with another forum user.

Other than that I think it was because I failed to respond to a message from a 'friend' in a timely manner.

there is no WTF about it...

you were blocked because they obviously saw from your profile that you weren't what they were looking for and blocked you so you couldn't message them...

its just one more filter...

and they are obviously looking at this and thinking 'phew that was a close call' "

I wonder whether you realise how arrogant and conceited that sounds by that I mean this .

one... the person in question just fab a picture they thought was sexy which is nothing more in my book than a polite compliment .

such a compliment in my world doesn't mean the person giving the compliments wants more than they have already given , its doesn't mean they are going to message you and in my world it most definitely does mean they want to meet or even fuck the person who's picture they fab.

I don't care how many times a polite inquiry about more follows a fab the fact someone would pre-empt such a inquiry by assuming more is coming. can only be consider by any rationale sane human being as conceited and arrogant borderline Narcissistic behaviour

Gosh yeah. If blocking people you don't wish to meet just because they fab your photos becomes the standard filtering process, then that's one hell of a lot of profiles blocked! If we used that as a filtering process we would have blocked about 500 profiles in the last couple of weeks, for daring to show their appreciation for the photos we choose to share with our fellow Fabbers. And we've fabbed loads of pictures too, mostly belonging to profiles we have no interest in meeting, and I'm sure many, especially the female profiles, would have no interest in meeting us. It's a real shame if people can't fab pictures without the risk of being blocked.

"Mine was actually for fabbing a picture. WTF???"

How can you actually tell what you are blocked for? Does the person message you and tell you why they blocked you, or are you assuming? I block people who message and they aren't what we are looking for, to save them messaging again and wasting their time, also the forums really help in terms of blocking as I block people who don't sit well with my moral code. To be honest, I don't look at profiles too much so I wouldn't know who has blocked me ....but I'd hazard a guess it was always because of my forum posts as lots of people can't cope with an opinion different to theirs or theirs being questioned

Check out your double standards

"blocking people on the forums is not something I would do; if they have a different opinion to me; well thats as it should be; no need to get all juvenile about it and its not like we would message each other."

But people do contact through forums... I had done some proactive blocking in the past, if someone's opinion is particularly toxic to me, especially if they are in my local area. I am naive, I take people at face value. And no person will approach me and say eg. "I am a chauvinist pig"... so if they have revealed themselves to be this in any way (very often on their updates!) I just block to avoid.

We get blocked all the time! We can't meet very often because one of us works abroad and people get impatient waiting, so thats what they do, it sucks in one way because we always look forward to meeting people when we're back in the UK together but then we've come to realise that the blockers are just filtering themselves out so we don't have to.

Off the grid

A guy blocked me when he found out my husband worked at the same place he did.

He disappeared for ages then unblocked me. I messaged and he said he panicked, bearing in mind where they both worked and the type of work it was.

We got chatting. We met and he wanted to fuck me but as I couldn't accommodate and neither could he, he suggested we fuck at his friend's house, who was senior management to the pair of them!

It was all a bit too weird for me so I declined lol
