My galaxy s7 is in repair after I decided to crack the screen. So in the interim I'm back to my iPhone 5s updated to iOS 10 what a load of tosh, got so pissed off with the double tap feature to unlock was well chuffed to discover a way of stopping that.

Hm... I've just gone into Settings-General- but, can't find an option to enable the swipe right to unlock function.

Yeah, I've an iPhone 5c (I think). It doesn't take you to an option to go back to the 'swipe'

A phone 'expert' told me they update the operating systems to encourage people to upgrade their phone. The older models can't handle the new OS's as well. So we won't be installing.

More than likely apples business model to make people buy their latest phone.

I don't know why people are fretting, not just here btw. I've done mine. There were a few features I didn't like, changed them and all's well.

I didn't like the spelling suggestions thingy and it changed the sound of some messages for me (grrr). Can't remember if there was anything else really.

The update you can send secret messages and you can write a message if you turn the phone sideways.

Could somebody please instruct me as to how to get the home screen back to how it was before the iOS 10 update?

I want to 'swipe right' to unlock the phone, rather than having to double tap the home button!!!

My 5s keeps trying to get me to install 10 as it seems to have been downloaded already.

I'm worried that I will allow it while in a d*unken stupor or similar.

How can I get totally rid of this update?

This isn't true. iOS 10 runs much better on the 5 and 6 series phones than iOS 9.

That doesn't work in iOS 10.

It's SettingsGeneralKeyboardPredictive switched to 'off'.
