Welcome back. That was the longest shower... so you must have had plenty of time to get to know your hose.

i just randomly chose the cheapest disco light shower fitting. love having a shower in the dark now.

all the fittings usually are the same, so long as you have an average cheapo shower you should be fine,

I think they are. I have a spare one sitting in the bathroom. Is it just the screw on ones?

I couldn't say for sure that there is a standard size. But whenever I've bought one I havent checked sizes and they've fitted.

I think the only issue you might find is if you buy a European or US made one. They could be (but may not be) different.

So make sure the manufacturer is British. Try Argos, if you order before 6 am you can have it delivered between 7am and 1pm (or later if you choose).

Yes....standard size screw thread both ends. Just choose the finish you want (white/chrome etc.) and the suitable length.

Detach one end from your shower box and the other from shower head and replace.

Simples!

Yes, but on 'the action' site they are anywhere between 1.25 and 2.5 size fitting, so just wanted to know the normal standard size a company would use

looks like just the length can change but you could always search for the model of your shower (and number if it has that? idk) and see what comes up. don't forget you can message sellers too and ask what they're selling and if it would fit your shower, or for any advice really.

Thread is pretty universal, 19mm. Argos do a decent power shower head with hose, under£20

Is that the width of the hose or the fitting?

Can you unscrew the broken one? Have a look at the end and then get one that looks like that.

unscrew the old one - pop to wilkos - and match the hose size - purchase and take home - screw in new one - undress and have a soapy shower - take pic for weekend pic challenge

Ebay isn't the cheapest for these things. Take the old hose to a local plumbers shop and they will get you what you need with new washers as well. You will probably pay less that Ebay anyway x
