I wouldn't stay. What's the point. It's going to end up messy.

When to people get together they don't necessarily fall in love with each other at the same time. So was meaning how long would you give it to see if they fall in love with you?

I wouldn't wait!

If you both felt the same way initially, then your partner seemed to change, then you should at least give it some time, everyone has bad times...

It is easy to walk away too early, but when it gets to the point where you stop being yourself and start to lose some self respect then walk away asap

If it's not a two way thing then move on, you can't get over something while your hanging around waiting for them to feel the same. Pride and dignity and all that.

I guess it depends if you are happy as it is? Or move on in the hope you find love.

I stayed far too long, putting in the effort while he didn't give a fuck about our marriage.

In the end I joined fab, realised what was missing in my life and left him for another man

8 months, it would take me a lot longer than 8 months to fall in love with someone

It took me about 9'years to convince him and now I'll wait however long it takes.

Its soul destroying at times though. I hope it works out for you x

I would stay as long as I was happy. I've been in relationships where I was told I was loved, but their actions said something else....hence they are exes.

Good point. Mostly his actions shows he cares.

if hes showing all the signs of of liking you and wanting to be with you give him time. Some can fall in love quickly some take time. Some people are fireworks and some a slow burner. Im a slow burner

If he shows he cares then this says it all. People can tell you they love you until they are blue in the face, and then in the next breath hurt you.

I'd rather be shown I was loved than be told it daily only for it to be a lie.

I wouldn't. If someone doesn't love you after 8 months they arnt going to start suddenly loving or respecting you from there on.

Life is far too short to waste it on the wrong People.

she didnt say he didnt respect her she said he definetly cares.

Im just curious on the time limit for falling in love

It took me ages to tell Mr I loved him. Even though we were pregnant and living together.

He told me all the time, but I would just reply with I know.

I needed to make sure I meant it before I said it, if that makes sense.

We've now been together nearly 19 years and I tell him all the time.

He waited as he knew I cared, so only you can decide how long your willing to wait x

A few months I guess. Depends on how our dynamic was, how close we were etc. Only you know that.

However there is a difference from the initial falling "in love" (for many, the infatuation phase) & a far deeper love that endures when you truly learn about each other (good & bad). Personally, I would go for the latter every day of the week - that's true love

Or just borne from familiarity and habit?

Something like love you can fall out of just as easily as you fall in love....sometimes the spark disappears and it can be rekindled. It takes time, effort and patience on both part, but both haveto want it....this is where communication plays its part. Talk and find out kf its worth working at or if its time to cut ties
