Cook some bacon then chop up quickly, toast one side of bread turn over apply bacon and cover with thick slices cheddar or red leicester with a sprinkling of paprika on top.

It completely depends on the type of bread used to make toast, as they all have their qualities. Unhealthy, mass produced, thin sliced white bread and I prefer it cold before the butter/spread goes on. Otherwise, its best melted in whilst hot.

Cheddar cheese is a good all rounder though, sliced not grated, then grilled. Otherwise, apricot or peach jam is the 'go to' for me.

I really was about to make some toast before I discovered this topic, honest. Supergrain farmhouse with butter only, if you must know. I get whatever is reduced to clear and freeze it, so it's not my usual.

We have breakfast out a lot in Oz .... Bacon sausage egg etc - add a dollop of strawberry jam on your plate next time and taste .... Bet you love it darling xx this toast bacon strawberry jam - yum
