Half and half for me. If I have a social it's generally a quick coffee at lunchtime or drink after work, not somewhere there would be an opportunity to play anyway.

But I've also met people when I've been away, or they're not local, and in those circumstances if I like them I'll fuck them on the first time of meeting them.

Really depends on the person. If I've been chatting to someone for months and nothing has happened due to distance, then yeah I would. Mostly I prefer a social first but it doesn't always work out that way.

But booty call meets are a no no, made that mistake before. No chemistry what so ever, possibly the worst sex I've ever had.

Local people I've always met first socially. People further afield I've met for a drink and then we've gone upstairs that same evening.

But that's simply because the travel and timescales and opportunities are totally different: locally you can meet for coffee a couple of times quite early on. When meeting people further away you chat for far longer and get to know them differently.

I would say most of my meets have been social to begin with, and I'm happy with that and never go to a meet with any expectations. If the desire and opportunity is there on both sides for it to progress then that's hunky dory, but if not, there's always the second meet and I don't leave disappointed if it doesn't.

The other aspect of it is some may have driven a distance to play. So if I was meeting a lady that I have driven some distance for it to turn into social only then you know you gotta drive all that again for a second meet it can get disheartening.

There has been one exception to the rule but at somepoint in the future our paths will cross and I know we will have fun.
