Eggheads 'star' not quite so clever after all?

Eggheads star CJ De Mooi has been arrested at Heathrow on suspicion of murder.

This was after he wrote about the day he 'thinks' he killed a man he threw into a canal in self defence in the 80s in his autobiography.

Not the brightest thing to put it in the public domain (unless the remorse is too much and he deliberately outed himself of course).

His real name - by the way - is Joseph Connagh. De Mooi apparently translates from Dutch to 'the handsome' ..

Of course it's not the brightest thing to put in the public domain, and I therefore can't believe his book wouldn't have been referred to lawyers when it was proof read ?

My mate was once getting chased by the police and chucked his self in a canal and swam across it...ahh the things you did as kids

'I punched a bloke, threw him in a river and he might have died' is a bit tenuous for an arrest though isn't it? Especially as it was a good while ago.

Can't see much coming of it
