I went to New York on holiday when I was 15 and an uncle bought me a puke pink jumper with a crocodile on it. I hated it, never wore it until one day went to the shops round the corner, when a friend spotted me in it from afar and said, wicked jumper that's a Lacoste.

La who I said, couldn't get me out of it, within six months the elbows had gone in the jumper

Who had the black and white big scarf wrapped around with a big triangle of material at the front or to the side and the short ends hidden? It was very German, I seem to remember. No outfit was complete without my scarf.
