They really do it for me. Blue, red, ginger... colours like that just grab my attention and make me think the girl is probably fun and a little adventurous. I think the fact that it often comes with cool tatts and piercings helps, at least in my mind anyway!

I almost wish more girls would do it, but then it wouldn't be that interesting if everyone had similar hair!

What do you think? Guys, do you like it? Girls, what do you think about girls whose hair is attention-grabbing? Have you done it yourself?

I've had my hair bright for a while now, I couldn't imagine ever having it normal. It was pillar box red for a few years with stints of pink or orange Inbetween, but more recently I have had it aquamarine or blue. X

I agree that it doesn't always look fabulous. It's a complete pain in the arse to maintain and my bathroom, towels and bedding really suffered when i was bright red. I really loved it though just got fed up with the mess and maintenance.

I used to have the underneath of my hair bright pink & the rest of it black. It looked good but the upkeep was hell and the constant bleach & dye cycle really ruined the underneath of my hair.

I got more people staring at me or stopping me to ask what colour i used etc. On a rare night out there would be the groups of girls in pub loos cooing over it. I'm not used to being noticed when out and about and I'm far more comfortable being an invisible brunette.

Really depends on the person & their look as to whether I think it looks great or not.

I wouldn't dye my hair to that extreme now as I don't think it would suit me & I couldn't be arsed with the maintenance.

I've tried crazy colour and directions amongst others and nothing goes on like this one or fades as evenly if that makes sense. I don't have to top it up as much either x

I'm currently turquoise and purple, but the turquoise tends to fade quicker than the purple. At the moment I use manic panic, I might try Adore if I can find it anywhere

I've ha my hair most colours you could imagine and it's currently ginger/orange depending on how recently I've dyed it.

I've found it actually puts men off me, I always get more attention when I have a 'normal' hair colour.

thanks, did it myself, i only use 4 colours but blend them so it looks like i have more colours in my hair and they don't look blocky or patchy.

go for both fuschia and aqua, have one underneath the other.

Do like odd colours every now and then....and from experience of having burgundy, red, purple.. every highlight and blonde you can be..the worse one was the blonde mousse dye my dad picked up...it had gold flecks in it!! Looked like I had a fught with some glitter and lost! And then it started to dissappear. .."sod it I'm going picard"

Mine has been bright red for a few years now. I used to be incredibly shy and introverted but when I eventually came out of my shell, in my 40s, I coloured my hair bright red. It makes me feel more confident and I do get comments about it, people in shops, old ladies at bus stops and once a guy rode past me on a pushbike and came back to rave about how much he loved it. I can't ever imagine going back to a subtle colour.

I'm red till my natural dress are long enough for me to lose the synthetic stich ins. I think it'll be another 12-18mnths before that happens. Been in two years and my hair has grown about 9"..

Does depend on work what colour I go, oddly they don't mind the dreads but outrageous colours they baulk at..I fancy either a purple or electric blue..

P went purple with a funky asymmetrical cut not long ago after having the same style and colour since we met...Looks amazing and blew the theory that blondes have more fun right out the window

Good on her as blue is a bit of a bugger to hold onto I find.... either fades extremely quickly or goes greeny if your hair isn't bleached enough to start with

I've found the perfect range of bright dyes, they cover amazingly and I've had no problem getting them out when I've wanted a change. It's called adore x

I'm currently turquoise and purple, but the turquoise tends to fade quicker than the purple. At the moment I use manic panic, I might try Adore if I can find it anywhere

I tried manic panic when I first went turquoise and it didn't take very well. Luckily there is a shop in Halifax that I get it from but you can get it on line x"

An update, I managed to get Adore hair dye from eBay, the turquoise covers really well and doesn't fade like the manic panic amplified one did. it's £5 a bottle instead of £15 and goes on so much better. Thank for the recommendation

I disagree..had a streak of blue hair back in June, only dyed it once and was still as blue 4 months later

Pink and purple fade really quickly.

I don't have any colours in at the moment but I've had rainbow hair in the past.

I've no piercings or tattoos though.

It can look good on a really cute person but you also get the phenomenon of large middle aged ladies dying their hair red to try to look interesting which acts almost as a beacon.

Mine is currently silver with purple roots, before that I had it multicoloured (blue, green, turquoise, pink and purple). I love having coloured hair and the attention I get! I was in New York recently and every day dozens of people stopped me to comment on my hair

I do like to stand out in a crowd and it's a good coversation starter if someone is a bit shy about saying hello

I probably wouldnt go really bright at my age but I do have the sides and fringe colour purple/plum which is really vibrant to begin with then washes out to a pinkish colour after a month or so. The rest of my hair is dark brown my natural colour. However my daughter has 8 colours in her long hair from pink/plum/burnt orange/mauve .. she looks gorgeous and it really suits her.

Ive always wanted to have a bright pink/red/purple but dont think it would suit me.
