Liverpool

I was working in Leeds this last week and on Friday some thieving scum broke into my van and stole all my power tools.

Makita, Hilti Dewalt Ryobi....

Estimation is around £2000 to replace these .

That's £2000 I needed to simply pay bills and survive another month....

thanks thieving ....dards!!!

Sorry to hear, a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted but you really should consider a van vault.

I have 2 in my van, well worth the investment because I too would be screwed if my tools got robbed - and not in a good way

Awful that people feel they can just take what doesn't belong to them. Hope you are covered by insurance OP

It's happened to me. It's annoying as fuck.

All my expensive cordless tools are taken out the van now every night. Pain in the ass but needs must.

Sorry to hear. If everyone refused to buy second hand tools , the problem would be resolved . Ebay does not help either .

I have had a very large roll of lead stolen which would take at least three men to lift. I also have a Stilh chainsaw and an unused Stilh stimmer stolen.

I would like to see the sale of secondhand power tools made illegal. It would stop most people stealing if there was no market for secondhand goods

LONDON (se)

Well that's why we have insurance

All my work stuff is insured as, like you, I wouldn't be able to work without it.

Was it not all insured?
