Have a lot of admiration for sexy / good looking people.

Must be hard consistantly being looked at longingly and often being chatted to just cos of looks. Must be times when its overwhelming and they feel its a curse.

Have two examples, I work in a mainly male employee env. How guys would flock round lasses esp sexy ones.,..I,d observe how at first its a bit of a thrill but soon notice signs that it becomes tedious.

Another I have a male friend now married but considered really dishy by the ladies.Even with this knowledge he gets women flirting with him without him inviting it.Once said he just gets fed up with it, sometimes wishes he was ordinary like me.Yet I,d be happy to spend a month in his shoes hhhmm the irony...,..

I'm sure it probably can, as it tends to be a bit of a curse being at the extremes of anything.

You even see on here the assumption that very good looking people must automatically be shallow, bitchy, narcissistic, lack personality. There were girls I went to school with who were beautiful, who were bullied mercilessly because of it - the tall poppy syndrome.

I dont think it is as people will be attracted by your looks but they wont stay with you just because of your looks, if someone has a personality disorder being good looking wouldnt be enough. Men who have beautiful wives still cheat on them sometimes with less attractive women even. Some people dont get it that prince charles prefered Camila to Diana, it was because camila was more interesting, more inteligent, more fun and she liked sex, they both had the same things in common.

I don't do bad finding/meeting women & I am far from good looking, my philosophy is if I can make a women laugh (usually dropping my trousers does this) I can then charm her into anything else.

Make the most of what you have & if that's still not enough try develop better social skills to make yourself more interesting/apealing to targeted people.

Not sure I can comment on the sexy/attractive thing but standing out gets boring quickly. I was out for a few drinks with friends on Saturday and was both the centre of attention for abuse and questioning. As well as people feeling it's ok to touch me.

All of this from men too, so I can imagine being an attractive women wouldn't be far off this

Over the years, it's certainly changed my opinion of how why and when to approach a women on a night out.

"Not sure I can comment on the sexy/attractive thing but standing out gets boring quickly. I was out for a few drinks with friends on Saturday and was both the centre of attention for abuse and questioning. As well as people feeling it's ok to touch me.

All of this from men too, so I can imagine being an attractive women wouldn't be far off this

Over the years, it's certainly changed my opinion of how why and when to approach a women on a night out.

Reading some of these replies I feel like my experience has been pretty different to most. Maybe it's a cultural difference between the US and UK. From my experience, people I've known that are really attractive definitely have an easier time of things. They milk it, too. They may find some things harder, but on average I don't think they'd choose to be less attractive.

Looks don't count for everything as it happens - i'm not a great looking guy but I sing and play guitar for a living and I get girls who wouldn't look twice at me if I wasn't a musician - a theory that has been tested and the result was noticeable. I started chatting to a girl who really didn't seem interested - I went up and played the first set and she was like ' why didn't you mention you were playing?' And a very very different level of interest - not an isolated case.

So looks are a massive advantage but not the be all and end all. If you want to find diamonds ladies you might have to dig in the dirt a bit. Same goes for the guys who just want someone pretty on their arm - more to life than pretty things

I don't really think about it to be honest. You get used to being stared at and I'm adult enough to not let other people get to me. Of course,everyone wants me because I'm beautiful,but some of them will get to know me and realise I'm also a lovely person and nice to talk to. The really lucky ones find out I'm amazing in bed too. It's not a curse,it's a blessing.

Children and animals love me too.

I like being decidedly average in "real life". It means very few people try to talk to me or notice that my hair is a mess.

It must be really stressful being beautiful as people always notice when you dont look perfect and expect you to be on show all the time and get touchy feely, genuinely sounds like my idea of hell. I can kind of understand why many good lookers have less than shining personalities, it would make me an arsehole! Lol

I think people are missing the point. Ultimately brains trumps looks for me too. But why are you automatically assuming that the beautiful woman must be a bimbo or stupid? There's no correlation between being ugly and being more intelligent or having a better personality, however much we might like to tell ourselves that to make us feel better.

You know,at school,the boys were too scared to chat me up,because I was tall,slim with long blonde hair,blue eyes and big boobs. I was also top of the class. It's not all plain sailing at the top you know.
