Corby

A marginally cryptic title to mask mischievous intent.

The 175 post limit is applied manually I assume.

Let's see how far we can push the envelope.

So let's start off with

1 (2,3,4,etc)..

One!

What do you mean 'applied manually'? I think the record goes well above 220 posts. Where's Mr ddc and his spreadsheet?

Five?

Mr DDC is probably on standby, waiting for the thread to close so he can add a few pearls of wisdom after the event.

There can't be someone sitting there waiting for threads to reach 174 ready to close them at 175. It's an algorithm with a loophole. If you know how to do it then it's possible to keep posting.

That's just it...I assumed it was applied by those we dare not mention?

Do you know its an algorithm then?

I know there aren't enough volunteer Mods to apply the cut off. I know that when a Mod does close a thread the loophole doesn't work. I therefore deduce it's an algorithm.

It's an automatic thing applied to threads that reach 175.

It isn't. They have monkey troop working on this particular task. When it gets to 173 a little light goes on and the monkey pushes a button.
