How do you go around hotel rules about not allowing to bring people into your room?

Every time we come back at night either reception or security guard checks our booking. How we meant to sneak playmates in???

Don't go up as a group one or two at a time. I've never been stopped going through reception.

I think they do it for security/fire reasons rather than anything else, so just all quote same room number.

Use a holiday inn. They don't bat an eyelid when there's lots of people coming to our room

When entering the hotel, speak to the doorman and make eye contact with the staff, and smile.. A guilty person is easy to spot as they don't make or hold eye contact.

Make sure your guests know where the lift are and only arrive in groups of two or three..

If they start asking for directions the staff will ask questions.

Don't wear anything too conspicuous, you don't want to draw attention, so long coat to hide the sexy clothes underneath.

Stroll in confidently like you have been there a million times, the staff see so many faces they won't recognise non resident people..

This tactic will get you into any hotel without being stopped however it won't work in a 2 bedroom b&b.

Thanks a lot for all your replies!

Last night we were coming back on our own and were stopped by door security, we had to quote our room number and surname.

So just thought they wouldn't have let our company in if we had any.

We usually stay at budget hotels.

I once had a normal night out with friends on a weekend away and met the most gorgeous woman. There was security on the door with a list of names of people staying, and under no circumstances would he let her in, my mates who were in the bar and watching thought it was hilarious

I've been stopped coming back to hotels in city centres late - generally because they want to stop stag and hen parties booking one room and cramming loads of them into it. Some hotels will have bouncers checking room numbers etc after say 11pm. If it's for a fab meet I just make sure I'm not coming back in the room later than that. Even if stopped I'm sure you could say they were coming to your room for a bit but not sleeping there, if that's the plan.

I haven't on a fab meet but on nights out with my friends I have loads of times. Bouncers rather than reception though.

This will depend where you stay. It's not an issue when out in the sticks where us country bumpkins frequent

We did once go to a party and managed to choose the only hotel with a curfew. We broke it and had to get the night manager to open up for us. He didn't look best please and as Alexis was wearing a pretty revealing outfit trying to get her covered up so we could just breeze in was difficult.
