In growing hair advice

Would love some advice please regarding ingrowing hair, I've been shaving down below and it's left me with 2 ingrowing hairs that are bastards to remove, any advice on how to prevent this, all advice appreciated.

If you are experiencing in-grown hairs, the best way to help heal them is to exfoliate the area. There is a plug of proteins that is blocking the outward growth, and if you can remove these, the hair will have a better chance of growing the way it should. One of the best types of exfoliants for this purpose is salicylic acid. Any product with this ingredient can help. If you have an in-grown hair that is very irritating, and nothing seems to help you will need to see your family doctor or a dermatologist to make sure it isn’t infected (and they may have to manually remove the hair or give you medication if it is).

Tweezers will work if you can see the hair, but if it's got slightly infected and it's buried underneath a heap of crap, use the mag sulphate (drawing paste) to bring it to the top. Don't squeeze or prod about too much else you'll make it worse.

Noooooooo!!!! Well, depends if you want it to get infected, have an op to get it drained and then spend 4 weeks off sick.

Reading

Might sound mad, but face mask, whack it on every day for a few days after you've shaved, 5 minutes before you shower. It helps soothe any inflammation and prevent ingrowing hairs. Once you've got an ingrowing hair, magnesium sulphate paste, and tweezers.

I recommend NOT shaving! Just trim your pubic hair nice and short, instead

The correct way is to allow the hair to grow out, to do this you must carefully break the skin. make sure to use a sterile pin or needle to carefully do this. Once the hair is free of the skin surface, after a couple of days just leave it to grow. Medical advice here is to let it grow for at least a week.

The reason it happens is that the hair follicle itself is curved not straight, so this encourages the hair to grow curly, its a pube obviously! So cut too short and the curl makes it grow inwards.

So you remove the skin surface, and tease out the end of the hair with a sharp object. Once its free allow it to grow for at least a week before plucking out with tweezers. Hopefully the new hair will grow that bit straighter and not ingrow.

Noooooooo don't do it, just trim, much nicer. Hate the bald turkey look, men are meant to have some coverage.

If you are having problems shaving, then closely trim it.

It won't make a major amount of difference.

Either shaven or close trimmed is good with me, just don't like the jungle look my ex used to use his clippers and I don't think he ever had any problems.

Exfoliation. If that doesn't work, try Ingrow Go by Skin Doctors (Its maybe £12 a bottle). And failing that, tweezers!

Hi, i have the same problem with ingrowing hairs and i only trim it short. I get them so often i am now considering electrolysis. its a lot more unattractive having bad in-growers than no hair, only prob is fair hair is said to be harder to remove this way but will have too see.

Has anyone tried this??
