fab day out at the beach

Pooch and I are off today.

What a beautiful day to wander . We went to the beach, the North Wales coast resembled the Mediterranean.

Clear blue calm sea , a golden sun breaking through the haze of the Moring.

We whipped off our boots and socks and indulged in a glorious paddle .

So come.along chums come for a dip in the sea .

What will we do ?

Have a jolly splendid picnic? Build sandcastles?

Come along join in the frivolity

Taff and Pooch

Before our cunning summer plans were kiboshed, we were thinking of suggesting a walk round the Great Orme with you, Pooch and our Pooch, as one of our mini-breaks.

We're also considering the Cleveland Way for the perfect mix of Yorkshire moorland and coast. That also happens to end near another Forumite in Scarborough

Mr ddc

I would meet you there at midnight. We would stroll barefoot along the shore, listening to the sounds of the surf and star gazing. It's my favourite thing to do at the beach.

"Uber splendid sandcastles with little flags ans a moat dig down to the sea shore

* a particular holiday when I was a kid I'd build sandcastles but wouldn't often stay around long enough to watch them get washed away by sea. I'd be dragged off early and then a group of boys would kick it down.

So the last time I did it, I found rocks and put those inside all the towers

Ha ha you little anarchist .

We can build massive castles and stay to watch them crumble in to the sea in the sunset. A roaring bon fire on the beach to roast marshmallows

"* a particular holiday when I was a kid I'd build sandcastles but wouldn't often stay around long enough to watch them get washed away by sea."

When our kids were small we'd deliberately pick a spot near the incoming tide and they'd have to build the castle while I was in charge of 'flood defences' in a sort of cross between King Canute and a civil engineering busman's holiday.

Happy days

Mr ddc
