I wonder if theres been any surveys carried out to see which country has the largest/smallest female feet ?

Other countries do alot more walking than ours, could that make a difference ?

As a rule the size of your feet is in direct correlation to the size of you pelvis. I always got asked my feet size when pregs and asked why and that was my MW reply, strange hey x

Yes don't know if they still do now. It's something to do with giving birth vaginally or section if your pelvis is big enough. Other factors are considered I'm sure such as baby's weight position and your height. But as a general rule the bigger the feet the bigger the pelvis

I'm 5'3 and size 4-5 depending on brand. Is 7-8 average shoe size? Obviously it depends on height also if your very tall I'd think size 8 average?? Anything over a 8 I'd say is large feet, shoes never look as good when big I think. But hey it's something we can't change and if in comparison to your body they suit who cares

Feet are definitely getting bigger, must be one of those evolutionary changes.

I'm tall for a woman at 5'9", but my feet are small for my height, i wear a 5.5 or 6 if they don't do halves. I vividly remember my PE teacher in school asking me how I managed to stay upright with my feet being too small.

My 9 year old daughter is already in a size 5, which unfortunately means she fits into some of my shoes . She's tall though, looks like she might end up taller than me.
