Small but deliciously sweet from the allotment.

I'm eating it raw as it's just picked and really very sweet.

How do you like yours?

Errmmm - first thought when I saw this post.

"Corn on the cob" refers to sex where the partners remain clothed?

That's how I like mine

Well, I never knew that. It seems I haven't had corn on the cob for a while then.

I never really liked sweetcorn until we grew our own. It's heaven, lightly boiled and rolled in butter.

They say you should boil the water first, then run from the plant to the pan to maximise the sugars.

We've had a bumper year this year.

It can be one. It's the season for corn on the cob.

I expect we'll see lots of butter dribbling down chins.

We find it's swings n roundabouts. This year the beetroot and onions have been poor for us.

Oh, then there was that incident when Mrs ddc hoed all my parsnip seedlings...

PS stop bragging about your OBE or I'll show you my knighthood

You've met my OB but it was your E when you met.

We've got parsnips coming soon. The beetroot has been good and the cauliflowers were the best I've ever tasted. Lots of kale at the moment.

Haverfordwest

Drizzled with butter and set on a plate, on its own, what a wonderful sight to see and aroma to smell. Then hand it to someone els to eat, because I can't stand the taste of it.

You got yourself a deal there! It's odd that it's one of my favourite things to see and smell, but the tastebuds disagree so much.

You're all so genteel. I use fingers and then enjoy licking the salty buttery fingers after.
