As the series progressed, the plot and sub-plots got darker and more sinister...

l used to love it but now l think it's simple, contrived and Left wing rubbish.

l did like the old fashioned British element to it that doesn't really exist any more. Like sweet tea, toast and marmalade at the Weasley's

I've heard a theory that its all in Harrys mind and imagination, when he was being mentally abused by his uncle and aunt, he used to go to there to escape the mental torture he was being put through. In isolation under the stairs.

Not read the Cursed Child as yet - unsure of the script format - not sure I'll really be able to get in to it! How's everyone else found it?

Logical progression I would say, as you get older you start dealing with more difficult emotions and life experiences.

I find Part of the series charm is the way it deals with real life in a relatable way for it audience

If it makes her happy it's a good thing simple as that in my opinion

Imagine the sweeping statements people make about swingers yet on here you encounter all walks of life everything in life doesn't have to be black and white for one type of person

I've read it. It's ok but because it is a script it doesn't have the depth of atmosphere generated in the books. But interesting though.

The Death Eaters persecuting the Muggles and 'mudbloods'. It has parallels with 'racism' and the nazis. Same old left wing script about how we are all supposed to hold hands and be happy enlighten liberal people. Same tired left wing script. Very obvious and very rubbish. OK so to be left wing you need to think that slaughtering innocents and the victimisation of a minority somehow makes you left wing? I'm a right wing liberal. Meaning you can do what the hell you want as long as you don't break the law.

And you can't make someone a gay! I read him as asexual. You made it sound like it is something that is wrong!! Which Im sure wasn't your intent. As of the rest of your comment regarding the burka. If you read the books. You would know that that all wore mostly robes. Which is closer to a burka than our atire! And the death eaters did in fact hide their faces.

The Death Eaters persecuting the Muggles and 'mudbloods'. It has parallels with 'racism' and the nazis. Same old left wing script about how we are all supposed to hold hands and be happy enlighten liberal people. Same tired left wing script. Very obvious and very rubbish. Plus she just had to make Dumbledore a gay. It wasn't quite left wing enough lol. I'm surprised McGonagall never converted to Islam and wore a burka and Hagrid decided to get a cock ring.

That theory arguably says more about you than the books

That's not a theory. That's the fucking premise of the books."

Yes but the agenda is your interpretation of the books.

"Loved books 1-7!

Not read the Cursed Child as yet - unsure of the script format - not sure I'll really be able to get in to it! How's everyone else found it?

Hoping JK will turn it into a 'real' book! Xx

I got it last Saturday and had read it all by the afternoon. It was ok but not great.

If she did write it she's lost her flare. But I don't think she did! I could on this!

And to the chap who said it was very left wing! I didn't get that at all. .

Muggles weren't a minority. They were the vast vast majority.

Dumbledore being gay was just too contrived and the bad bad death eaters (white people) were just one dimensional.

What is your problem with a gay character? Particularly as this isn't mentioned in any of the books and was stated by Rowling in a question and answer session.

I already gave an answer. It is contrived lefty silliness. Dumbledore can do what he wants with his wand in his private room.

Why is it contrived?

Or are you just completely homophobic?

Yes I'm comlletly homophobic. That what you'd rather hear so there you go. Have the stock markets crashed yet?"

So why are you so bothered about 1 characters sexuality?

The premise of the book is light over dark! Good vs evil. The ability to be evil but choose the right thing to do. But is not the easy thing to do.

It not about race, creed, political leanings. Religion. Sexual orientation.

Yes it's a kids book that grew with the generation it captured.

But it's still only fiction!

And I'll have a Tin foil hat if there are any left.
