There's Ryan's in Derby, but that probably doesn't fall into your "surrounding area" criteria

Waxy O'Connor's is just off Picadilly Circus. Used to be great, but I am talking back when I was a student (clearly when dinosaurs still roamed the earth), can't vouch for it today.

The Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington is good and has great live music nights.

I think Waxy's is probably more accurately an Irish Themed bar, where as the Shellelagh is a little more real. Both are good, depends on what you're after.

Conways 3 in Edgware is meant to be a good busy bar. Irish not Irish themed too.

Well iam Irish so prefer more of a irish bar with a few wild irish there you would miss home espically the Guinness friendliness and the craic

Waxy O'connors in Wardour street....you'll meet a few Paddie's in there.......x
