I heard on the news that PM has not decided yet whether or not to veto GB's application.

He's made it clear that he doesn't think GB is a suitable applicant for the job, and might leave it at that

The thing is, everyone that decries GB for being poor with economics, really don't understand economics!

The world was in recession, not just the UK, he didn't cause it, but you all seem to blame him for it!

Now open your eyes, do you really think that the IMF would wnat him as a candidate if he was that bad? The IMF know a thing or two about money and economics, to be shortlisted for that job shows he was pretty decent.

To block him as DC is proposing is just sour grapes. That sort of behaviour will backfire eventually. Next labour government will put all sorts of junctures into place against prominent conservatives.

I think most in government haven't a clue. The ones who do understand things get a job in the city earning 10 times what politicians earn. It it just me or do others think all these MPs are castoffs who can't sort a big job elsewhere.

think brown was used by the inventive media to scapegoat and sidetrack the reality of what happened

michael moores capitalism

zeitgeist 2

and inside job

all good documentaries on the meltdown

and brown and the labour government were never clever enough to be the root cause

and the shocking reality now - is we are trillions upon trillions of invented money that really only exists on hard drives - its not real!

if all the debts were paid back tomorrow in full - the entire world finance market would collapse and not a single coin or note would be circulating

there is another fall coming - because the massive injections did nothing to the root causes - and que bono always who benefits

well some would like to see the world with one single unit of economy

all on the same notes same coins no exchange rates

even no notes or coins

and that next step needs another massive fall its coming again and brown isnt going to be for the blame the next time

I dont like Gordon Brown but, he really does understand economics and money. Without him wee would be in a lot worse place than we are. Some people have insight, foresight and monetary skill, he is one of them.

Dont blame him for the shit our UK is in...blame over indulgent financial people and our very poor attention to asylum seekers and dole seekers.... We even invite Polish people to come here to mow grass, surely our unemployed could get out of bed to do this???

The Sad thing is actually that most Ecomonists think that GB did a good job as Chancellor and that is why his name was mentioned for the IMF job in the 1st place

he did a lot of good things as chancellor which we kind of forget for his not so good role as PM
