Grew up during the 90's and absolutely loved it.

Cartoon Network, sugary foods, annoyingly addictive pop songs, going through the TV guide before Christmas and marking up everything I wanted to watch.

Being young and everything, not having responsibilities and everything feeling new.

The music was pretty good too and there wasn't as much social media so I think people got out and socialised more.

The big bottles of white cider (and Hooch ) we used to drink in the park on weekends can stay in the past though!

Probably that period from '90 to about '93. I was just becoming old enough to be aware of what was going on around me but still young enough for everything to feel exciting and fresh. I remember family holidays and endless summers. Saturday morning television. Hearing the Stone Roses album in about 1990 was a game changer for me. No worries. No pressures.

Only when looking back do you realise just how golden and carefree that period was. Just before the world went a little crazy and things got serious. The last happy years.

I remember the 90's for all the different jobs I had.. all over the place, here and abroad .. I was free and single and was enjoying myself earning good money here and there to fund my holidays abroad .. I started the 90's in hospitality, retrained and went into the civil service in the mid 90's but by the end of them I was in Tenerife working in travel and tourism... in my defence I have a very low boredom threshold but I also have some fantastic memories

Euro96 - I was 10 years old. I remember when Shearer scored against ze germans and I opened the window and started shouting down to my uncle who was standing outside at the time saying 'shearer scored, shearer scored!'.

Treble - Was in tears when we scored the winner at Camp Nou. Still get goosebumps even now when I watch the highlights. My favourite memory was of Sami Kuffour sitting down crying.

Meeting a girl in a club on a Friday and driving to Spain with her on the Saturday. Spent a couple of months just travelling round, enjoying great food and wine, swimming naked in the med, having sex anytime we wanted and generally just enjoying the freedom

I miss the music of the first half of the decade.

Started off with bands like Metallica and Gnr then nirvana and onto Greenday offspring and blink 182.

I also miss my hair, it was long and I uses to get dreadlocks or plaited now I don't have enough left to do much with lol

There is no community spirit in London at all, i'm originally from Leeds so things were generally quite quiet as far as stabbings were concerned however I've been in London since i was about 17/18 and there every other day down here.

Things are different in London, you could live next door to someone for 10yrs down here and not know there first name, it's not like that in Leeds.

Sad really.

But back to the 90s for now, girl power lol..

The early 90s had some great music, unfortunately the utterly dire britpop and grunge eras damaged music so badly it's yet to recover. The 80s were absolutely PACKED with unforgettable classics, the mid 90s onwards have been total barrel scraping.
