okay you're not helping

in all fairness I may well be steering towards stereotyping myself but I do enjoy a drink.

I did it back in 2014. It wasn't easy, but both myself and Mrs did it together which we think made it easier. For us the first week was the easy, it was the end of the month that was hard!

I'm thinking of doing it again.

I did dry January one year and it got to May before it dawned on me that I'd not had any booze. Not sure I want to do it now... I was thinking about my Friday wine at 9am this morning!

Good luck to you though!

I've been pretty much sober for 14 months now after making the decision last August to have a few weeks away from cider and then not starting again.

In all honesty anyone who thinks abstaining from alcohol fir a month is difficult or a challenge probably needs to look at their relationship with drink

Just that the amount of calories I was (and am again) through alcohol was quite substantial. So as cutting out the alcohol, for me, was really effective.

Chippenham Malmesbury area

I drink about 3 to 4 bottles of beer in a month so this isn't a challenge for me but I will look to see what else I can do for the charity - even if it's just to put some money into one of there collection boxes.
