I'm in desperate need of getting rid of this headache Iv had since Thirsfay eveningc

Taking paracetamol isn't touching it.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

The first cure B turns to when she has a headache is sex.

In most cases the headache clears up and no further treatment is needed

I never get them.

going doctors this week but most people ive ask said I probably need glasses and its causing the head aches.

I do read a lot so think it might be I need glasses.

maybe thats your case too.

as people said go doctors and get checked

Is it a migraine headache, some of those can know they can take you off your feet for a few days,

Do your senses seem heightened, smell, sounds, eyes.... If so keep hydrated, windows open, dark room and sleep till it's passed,

Ah bless ya, I hate the ones that go on forever, try migraleve, buy the pack that has pink and yellow tabs in, take two pink first and then the yellow four hourly if needed, if you can take them and rest then that would be good, these always help me, good luck, let us know if they help, Mrs blue eyes

I don't think Iv ever had a migraine slave, I'm ok in the light, as for smell it's quite heightened anyway, windows open all night.

. I don't always get the normal migraine symptoms so it could be sin, also my head always gets worse when I need new glasses, so as others have said try an eye test, they are great at pinpointing headache reasons too, try tesco, free eye tests and brilliant value glasses, buy one get one free

Drink water throughout the day

Stop staring at screens

Stop sitting so much

Stop eating sugar

If it's still there in 24 hours go to the docs.

Look for other symptoms also.

Stop taking paracetamol. If it hasn't worked now it won't work and could actually make the symptoms worse - Google "rebound headaches".

Try and find somewhere cool and dark and eat a banana. Most headaches are caused by a lack of potassium and banana's are a good source of it.

get an ice pack or a bag of frozen veg or something place one at the base of your neck and one bag or ice pack on top of your head changing positions from top of your head, forehead and temples.

This always works for me. Hope you feel better soon.

Coffee.

When I have a headache I drink loads of strong coffee. Some headaches are caused by enlarged blood vessels and coffee contains “vasoconstrictive” properties that cause the blood vessels to narrow and restrict blood flow.

And I have found eating eggs helps me too, maybe its the protein.

There can be lots of reasons, depends on your symptoms

Id advise getting an appointment as you don't want to be stuck with this all weekend.

Also, you can speak to your pharmacist re what to take

There can be lots of reasons, depends on your symptoms

Id advise getting an appointment as you don't want to be stuck with this all weekend.

Also, you can speak to your pharmacist re what to take

Blood pressure is fine, eyes are fine, wee sample fine. They have given me codine.

I get headaches regularly often last for a few days. I take zapain with plenty of water. Also sounds odd but an energy drink helps too. Baths are good not too hot or your headache will worsen. Hope it clears soon. Oh n get your teeth checked! Xxx

I suffer really badly .. doctor said cut down on caffeine cola and chocolate

I've found a drop of lavender oil on your wrists and temples plus lying in a dark quite room helps .

also i had my eyes tested that could also be a cause .

It runs in my family and I've had it for years. Im on medication but I'm not great at taking it or going back for checks. Sadly though its not a nice thing to live with. If you haven't had your BP checked I would recommend it. X
