I love rock city. I went to see garbage there a few weeks ago. Also, rock city is the place where my husband told me he loved me, for the first time. It has special memories for me.

I loved the first song (adored). It was so great because we could barely hear the band as the crowd was singing so loud. Amazing experience. Also, upon leaving, the huge huge crowds milling their way down the streets. Thousands upon thousands of elated people. Awesome. Only downer. We nearly didn't get in as our legit ticket wouldn't scan.

Watch lots of local bands/gigs. Last bigger gig I went to was appocalyptica in Manchester last November. Was going to go to see the Roses at the etihad, but was in hospital. Saw them at Heaton Park though and was blown away, never thought I would get to see them.

Do you know what? I went to a gig last night. A local band, seen 'em before. Have a long running feud with the bassist.

Anyway, their opening number was accompanied by a single girl with Down's syndrome playing mean air guitar in the mosh pit.
