The amount of profiles on here that specify that you are clean is both surprising and worrying! For starters, who the hell turns up to a meet anything less than as clean as physically possible?! I'm not even a clean freak, but I think you would have to be a complete moron to just turn up to a meet without showering or anything. Yet so many profiles have this big thing about being clean... I mean have all these people had bad experiences where someone who smells like the inside of a dead badgers arse has turned up, and then flopped out their genitals with sizeable lumps of smegma piled up like rancid cottage cheese, and then said, "Hey, shove this down your throat baby!"?

Judging by the other threads I'd say yes probably.

My last meet turned up at my flat and I almost gagged when she took her shoes off. To be fair she was sitting on a train for 2 hours, and she did apologise, but I still had to ask her to have a shower.

Probably so Ms Feir, but I think what the OP was getting at was how skanky and unclean in a bodily sense, not inferring which sexual preferences they participate in.

When I see a profile mentioning "Clean"

It normally means they're tested regularly and have a high standard of hygiene.

You'd be surprised just how many peoples level of hygiene aren't as high as it should be

Anyone can write they are clean though. It means about as much as genuine, professional and open minded on here.

People need to show they are aware of hygiene?

I take it as a given I'll shower properly before a meet, use deodorant and all the other necessities. I've never felt the need to tell people I know how to wash myself

The reason I only meet locals. I don't want someone travelling miles to arrive all sweaty and smelly. It would break the mood/put me off if I had to twiddle my thumbs whilst they had a shower!

. I think maybe they should change the profile page so that it would reflect that you are either std free or freshly showered. Or, people should be more clear on their profile. Because there does seem to be lots of confusion. I am now. I suppose people have arranged to meet an std free person and got somebody who'd just had a bath.

I believe it's not that uncommon for people to lack personal and day to day hygiene. Worrying, as you say. We had one bad experience, that I shalln't go into detail on the open forum.

We have clean on our profile. We are std free and shower just before going out. But we still go for a wash minutes before we play as you are stood around, dancing what ever else. So you do start to smell again. But we have met people that don't do that. An think they will still smell lovely hours after there wash. Nothing worse than stinky fanny or cock.lol

The things with this, especially at this time of year, is that if I was going to travel to anyone for any length of time, I would ask that I can shower at their place. Particularly if I knew I was prone to getting sweaty. I would still shower at mine before setting off, but I would ask for a refresher. It's hot, people sweat.

I was mortified afterwards when I realised and hope I wasn't too stinky. I still fret about it, years later.

I think this may well be the case for some, but perhaps not the ones that ask for 'impeccable hygiene'.

The other, and perhaps more offensive meaning may be that they mean clean shaven (either face and/or body).

as for "Clean" on a profile we never assume anything. but if the BB phrase is mentioned its a short no response. if they dont like it, then they can go somewhere else

Make an effort....clean shaven, looking respectable, hair done, after shave that kind of thing.

Turning up looking like you have just done a month in the woods or jogging bottoms and tshirt just shows lack of effort.

If we arrange a meet we will both bath and make ourselves look our best...i get dressed up smart and boo gets dressed to..well arouse so its not to much to expect in return
