Ooooh, I always thought that at a Social, it is OK to wear anything you like! It's in a 'normal' venue, after all ( isn't it?) - you wear whatever you feel comfortable in!

As long as its not in a club with a dress code wear what you feel comfortable in. If you want to make an impression then dress that way but as long as you are not dressed like a scuffer people will accept you.

I think I must be strange (lol actually I know im strange), its the one thing Ive never done, asked anyone their advice on what I should wear. Its never occurred to me to do so. I never really care what others are going to wear. So my advice would be wear what you like, what your individual style is
