Recording them but know they won't match the originals

Wasn't a great fan of AYBS first time round, and I don't think I've changed my opinion now

Porridge seems to be making a better fist of it though

I'm enjoying them

There are some clever nuances from the originals

No, they've tried far too hard, especially with Porridge, "tin of pineapple" and the "two fingers up", really no, won't be watching anymore.

I enjoyed porridge. Its reminisent of the smutty seaside shows...

Cheesy innuendoes, modern setting. Thought the guy captured the Barker spirit well.

I thought the Porridge was done very well.

"I thought the Porridge was done very well. "

I enjoyed it, I've certainly seen much worse remakes. Who remembers Ant & Dec doing The Likely Lads

Watched them but didn't like them

I love the originals so this wasn't right

AYBS wasn't as bad as the Porridge one, as ever plenty of pussy double entendre thrown in at the end.

As a side note the outside scenes of the original Porridge where filmed at the mental deficiency hospital at Leavesden

Watched both out of curiosity. Not impressed at all with either. Should leave the old shows as they were and concentrate on new ideas.

Thing I noticed most were the sets, especially for AYBS

Was weird to watch all those famous faces doing impressions of other famous faces!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

They're doing Goodnight Sweetheart on Friday, with Nicholas Lyndhurst. It looks like a continuation.

Then it's Young Hyacinth as pre Keeping Up Appearances.

I didn't watch tonight's offerings as I didn't like the clips I saw.

Give it a few years and you'll be happy for a re run of doc Martin.
