To what extent do you feel your tastes in sex / fetish etc have been affected by the people you've been with?

For me; I'm an exhibitionist and as well as enjoying sex in risky places, I enjoy (at times) a partner to "accidentally" flash strangers etc and both enjoy the buzz.

In wondering where this stemmed from; I had a girlfriend at 17 who loved flashing and would purposely flash her knickers etc. Pretty sure I fully pin it on her why I'm now such a kinky bugger! Ha I wonder if my tastes would've developed in time even without these experiences!?

My tastes aren't influenced by previous relationships and I'm not sure they're influenced by experience but if I try something and like it I'll want to do it again but I'm likely to only try something if i think I'll like it anyway.

Erm... I guess I've had particular sexual relationships where I've felt more comfortable to share my likes & dislikes and to explore new things, so I suppose those affected my tastes.

I guess this is the whole nature vs nurture thing. Are our tastes (or ability to at least "try out" potential new tastes) innate within us? Or are our tastes and sense of "I'll give it a go" more part of who / what has influenced us!?

I'm not a risk taker by nature so I suppose that impacts on my sex life. I'm pretty sure for instance that I would really hate to be gang banged so I will never, ever try it just to see if I'm wrong.

Definitely, I was innocent and happy with monogamy until, aged 16, a girlfriend fucked half the college behind my back... then I realised I liked it. Dumb bitch could have done it in front of me!!

I've been with Mr B since we were teenagers, so no previous relationships to influence me.

My experience of what's normal from my family was to only sleep with someone once your married. It was daring to leave the lights on.

Not sure what happened with me.
