"Poor little goldfish don't have much of a memory bless them. I'm wondering if the males of our species are related to them, given the amount of repeat messages I get from no thanks messages or just ignoring them, even guys I've met and don't wish to again try it on with a new account every so often. so men of fab could you enlighten me on this phenomenon? I know the analogy that men are a small fish in a large ocean on fab gets used a lot but surely you don't have to take it so literally? Ive never seen that analogy, probably because it doesn't work" Small fish in a big pond that is another variation of it that gets used a lot too

"Also it doesn't work as the whole goldfish short memory thing was made up by goldfish bowl salesmen to convince customers that they would keep swimming around and around a small bowl." So goldfish are easily pleased your only striving to prove my comparison to men

"Poor little goldfish don't have much of a memory bless them. I'm wondering if the males of our species are related to them, " If they are then the females are too. Talk to you today and can't remember what lies they told you yesterday. Ocean analogies work for us too, you just have to apply it correctly, it ain't just water and shoals of minnows...... so include the raw sewerage outlets, whales, sharks, crabs, bottom feeders, urchins, blowfish, and of course a big hand for the plankton. But the ocean analogy breaks down badly when you look at facts, it doesn't matter how big the ocean is and how many fish are in it, you're only ever going to be swimming in your immediate area, and even if you move it doesn't make much odds, it's still a tiny area... If, within that area, you are eating well, who cares how big the ocean is or how many fish are in it or how insignificant you are to the whole.
