I know I'm not an English guy so still trying to brush up my grammar.

I have been reading loads on this forum and couldn't understand some sentences not until I saw it on someone's profile asking people to write properly. That was when it all made sense to me.

Is it a shorthand of writing of people doesn't know the difference.

Please add yours.

For the same reason they use they're, their or there incorrectly, they probably don't understand their uses or they could just be typos.

Some make mistakes, don't notice, don't understand, have reading/writing issues, their technology takes over or a lot of other reasons.

It's good that a non-native speaker has spotted this - it suggests that you're going to master English really well.

You'll see a fair few other errors - I make a few, especially when I'm tired and using a tiny screen.

We could infact look at this from another perspective

It's either saving energy by making you are to you're

Saving space on paper by cutting the gap between you and are

Or we could also look at it from a completely different angle all together by saying that by missing out that gap and replacing the a with a '

It isn't the use of an apostrophe that's the issue it's that your and you're mean different things.

Having read about grammar and the correct usage of the English way of writing a sentence and having been given some kind advice just now

am i right in thinking that correct grammar means a person is more suitable for a meet if he knows where to put ' or . , ?

I like to think that im a fairly open person willing to accept advice on here and that im worth a meet but i am kinda put off meeting someone thats far more interested in ;., than the personality of that person ?

I am just trying to get along on here and surely not every woman is put off by a persons ability to put commas etc in the correct place at the correct time ?

If noone would ever be interested in meeting someone because of that i wonder if that persons even worth my time either ?
