God knows how or why " That would be because it is rare for household insurance to include the replacement cost of a domestic appliance. As appliances have a limited lifespan, any such policy would cost a fortune. | |||

"Has anyone claimed on insurance before ? My excess is £150 I went away and my freezer and fridge went off and defrosted all over the kitchen floor , all food is ruined . Waiting for a call back but is it worth it to claim as excess so high ??!! Gutted " i am going to assume that you don't have carpet on the kitchen floor... lol so as long as the water hasn't "leaked" anywhere else...and the electrics are all okay.... and the fridgefreezer works... then no... as excess is going to be higher than the damage....and then your insurance would likely go up because you made a claim... | |||
