My cat is full on Grant Mitchell tough guy, calls the old lady across the road Doris, likes Baldy who says hello from time to time but always reminds me if I don't look after him he will (in best Grant Mitchell voice) rip my balls off

I understood what you meant. It's hard to get intonation in text, but I thought you'd hear it.

When I had pets yes!

The cat was modelled on a West Country accent & the pooch was an excitable east end like innit / wicked character.

Both my dogs have American accents in my mind, but when they act all superior I've begun to give them really posh British accents...I've never really thought about that until now

My first cat spoke with a very upper class terry Thomas/Leslie Philips type voice...second was sean bean...his dad was a Yorkshire quarry cat and he was a fighty bugger. ..the dog bill Bailey. ...he just looks at me and I can hear the voice oh so clearly! !

When my sister used to talk to me I used to pull the dogs bottom lip down in rhythm of my conversation and try and imitate her voice n things she had said that day.....I was only bout 9 or 10 tho x

Oh, I see, I misunderstood. Yeah I have a voice which is his voice too. It was different from my other cat.

Not something I do myself but my ex had a voice she'd use when she would jokingly speak for our cat (not as crazy as it sounds,honest!) I found it really cute n endearing

I met a lass last year who did the same thing with her own cat n for some reason it left me cold n weirded me out a bit!

Probably more to do with my feelings (or lack thereof) for her rather than the voice she used or the fact she did it.

I still don't have a voice for my cat... she meeps at me and sometimes I meep back at her back that's the extent of my cat crazy chat.

Everytime puss comes in I hear him say (or more to the point I say) in best Grant Mitchell voice "alright grumpy Bollocks, what 'ave you been up to?"
