Wanted good reciepe for a plum tart

Have an excess of Victoria plums already made jam and wondered if any cooks out there had a favourite one they use or any other suggestions ?

Put a little twist in your plum jam, Pimms. Works a treat and is a little bit naughty in a tart.

I know a plump tart. I think her parents made her in the traditional way.

It works brilliantly in any summer fruit tart. If I hadn't spent all weekend baking cakes and bread, is make one now just because you've put the idea in my head.

Sorry not suggestions for making plum tart but I have made plum wine before (which some people get good results with) but I wouldn't recommend the recipe I used as the wine wasn't that great. Have you considered preserving some in brandy as this is another traditional use for a glut of plums?

Yes.

Plum Tarte tatin

Sugar in a frying pan. Heat until it starts to go golden. Place in halved plums, flat side down. Add a splash of something nice like cherry brandy. Cover with pastry, push the edge down. Whack in oven for 45 mins @ 160

Turn out on plate

Enjoy
