This has likely been discussed before, but as we all know people's opinions can change on a daily basis,

So my question is with regards to effort as previously mentioned elsewhere.

How far is to far to travel ?

In this modern age of travel, nowhere is too far if the people are right. Why would you limit yourself unless it was financially impractical or impossible.

If we find someone who's 100's of miles away, it's an excuse to have a long weekend and maybe a bonus evening of debauchery thrown in.

I personally would travel over hot coals for a nice polite open woman, even if it was for pizza

Im attached with kids and a job so with limted time. 20-30 miles is enough for me.

Plus is your wanting a regular playmate, should it not be somewhat effortless? Traverling 60/70+ miles after 3rd/4th visit will get tired some. Unless it was weekend get aways x

A 400+ mile round trip wasn't so bad. And the company I was in when I got there made the journey worth it

For the right person, nowhere is too far. My furthest meet was Bolton. It was a weekender though so I looked at it as a holiday.

I wish I never, Boltons a shit hole.

We used to travel into London for meets. Not overly keen now. The train journey is an hour and a quarter, not including any underground travel, and we always had to rush for the last train. We would have to know that it's worth it. We will drive to South London regularly for parties, and that takes over an hour. These days private meets have been more local (less than an hours drive), or they come to our house. We would probably drive an hour and a half if we knew the meet would be good.

That's a pretty deep question.

I'd say that if your destination is further away than your life expectancy and cryogenics isn't a viable option, then that is to far.

But.

What if the journey is more important that the destination?

I think it depends on how often your willing to meet if its a regular hotel meet a100 mile journey can be reduced to 50 miles if you meet half way and both drive .

I meet a fwb and her friend only two times a year they come down from Liverpool stay at a hotel on the outskirts of London for a long weekend twice a year .it works because they have always done this for shopping and seeing London shows .

I think the distance depends on both parties being willing and able to travel if that's the case then in my opinion distance is not a problem .

How lings a piece of string. All depends on the potential meet and if there is something i can do in the area if it fell through. I'm happy to incorporate a potential meet into a wee trip away for a few days.

Bicester

I went to a club which was a 2hr drive, but a meet I think up to an hours drive only if I was sure & there had been a lot of chat first.

West Wales

Peoples views on distance will be as different as their views on life, for guys like us who go out for 300 mile Sunday m/c rides for fun there is no "Too Far" really but it does very much depend on what's going on at the other end & we would rather try to make a weekend of it. We currently have new friends in Chester, Cheltenham & Northampton, none of these places are in any way too far & yes we do have kids to take care of too..

Well said I'd definitely pay out to meet some of the women on here no matter how far they lived

I wouldn't say anywhere within the UK is too far for the right person, only downside is travelling far and risking being stood up

For the right connection, travel is a tiny hurdle.

I've done a 4 day/night meet in Barcelona, well worth it

For me, traveling far isn't possible very often due to my personal circumstances. A night away once every 3-4 months is going to be as often as I can manage, so it's got to be practical, I've no wish to spend the whole day traveling to meet(club)and the whole of the following day travelling back. So will stay more local.

I don't travel for more than an hour, so 60-70 miles tops.
