Not for us, we'd always wait for the overnight invitation and never assume it was a given.

"Would you automatically think this means you can stay the night"

No.... It's a totally different level of trust.

Come to mine to play and then leave fine...

Come to mine and I'll fall asleep and let a (possible) stranger have the run of my house, valuables, car keys, etc, and then let themselves out at 4am never to be seen again.... rather different!

Sounds massively presumptuous of them!!

Even talking about the "accommodation" arrangements before you've definitely said you're up for meeting sounds like someone is either inexperienced or making rather big assumptions!

It's a cheap night out! I wonder if I could go on holiday like that? Reminds me of the film "the swimmer".

I see fab's 'accommodate' as accommodating purely for the purposes and durarion of a meet. Others see it as accommodation! Which it isn't.

I wouldn't expect somewhere to kip even if we didn't finish playing until 6am

No it means you can entertain with out the use of a hotel it doesn't mean someone will be staying over night unless its agreed on before hand .

Never assume anything, can accommodate could mean home or something else. We wait for the overnight invite but very rarely accept as we are early risers regardless of how late the night was.

I had a guy who wanted to meet at a hotel. However i dont have enough time for hotel meets. I can only ever spare 2hours at most. So i never really feel its worth it. I dont state accommodation. If he does that mean he pays or should i always offer to go halfs?

Yes.

I expect to be waited on and fed too, and I may even bring some laundry for them to do.

On one occasion, "can accommodate" turned out to mean we could shag in the back of his van

I wouldn't expect it to mean a stopover but depending on distance it maybe a nice gesture, though once play stops, separate rooms for privicy. Unless it's been agreed before hand that the bed is shared.
