Autumn... they've moved it forward!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

With the Olympics finishing I've noticed they telly people are starting the autumn scheduling early. We normally get the new series' after the Bank Holiday but they all start from Monday.

The consolation is that Great British Bake Off is back on Wednesday.

Light grey. And I can't think of the proper description, but one of those with kind of a massive wrap over collar and a belted waist.

My current winter coat is bright purple, so I wanted one in a duller colour to wear with things that don't go with that one, like red.

I love winter coats. I haven't owned one for as long as I can remember though; probably not since my early 20's, or possibly earlier.

I run too hot to wear a coat. I'm usually still in t-shirts throughout most of winter.

Plus I feel like I'm tied up in bondage all bundled up in a big coat.

Unless wind chill is particularly high and I'm not going to have to be standing around, I'm usually in a t-shirt well into single digit temperatures.

I agree my son plays 5 times a week and it's one of the best coats I've ever invested in (5 yrs it's lasted me) but I wouldn't buy one just for the sake of it. My son has a Canada goose got it last year and that was silly prices just for fashion as all the kids have them here. I never bought it his dad did.

"Do people in UK actually go out anymore or just watch the box and vegetate.?

Might explain why it's the fat man of Europe. "

I'm a great fan of Autumn. I'm an outdoor type, so the colours are amazing. Then the cold creeps in and it's time to wrap up when out for hikes or walks. I also get to light my fire more often. Love it!

"And the gorgeous Poldark is back in a couple weeks...yum

What, new series, really? That seems to have been promised for years.

I watch it for the Cornish scenery, before you start!

yes...of course you do "

okay maybe have a slight crush on Demelza, but what's not to like..what a look: those wind swept Celtic features running barefoot over the moors with that soft Cornish voice...need to lie down

"7 Xmas movies on channel 5 today"

I saw that everything seemed to have Christmas in the title.

Celebrity Big Brother had a Christmas task. Probably because of that.

autumn and spring are my favourite seasons.....

I quite like winter too..

in theory I should therefore enjoy summer as we get a variation of all the seasons when that comes around

What do clods smell of?

Yes, there was something in the air. The seedy things from the trees have have been blowing into my bedroom and I seem to have a lot of spiders around.

Although it is hard to imagine autumn today.

The second series of the new version from the beginning. Did you miss Aiden Turner with his top off and his scythe?

Clod refers to a clump of grass/soil I think, possibly a Yorkshire word?

The new Victoria drama starts tonight. I love a costume drama on a Sunday night.

Cold feet is Monday, 5th September but sandwiched in between we have the new Strictly on 3rd September.
