Ever been on one and is it something you'd recommend?

Just not for me, there is anything you want day and night but when on holiday I prefer to go and explore places etc. After 2 and a half days of being on the ship I really needed to get off when we docked in Madeira but then you're obviously tied to a time to get back on etc

However if you would like to visit several places in comfort and luxury and only have to unpack the once. There is no other way.

I worked on cruise ships for seven years and most people once they have tried a cruise are then hooked.

I've been with the family. Loved it. On my own now and would love to do another.

So relaxing and chilled. Nothing to worry about except when and where to eat / drink / relax next.

A swinging cruise - or a regular cruise with a load of Fab members discreetly on the same ship - would be fun!

I went on a cruise because it was the only way to get a holiday to Puerto Rico. Loved the cruise hated Puerto Rico. Been on 7 cruises since. All in the last 4 years. I've always been on Royal Caribbean. If you want amazing food and to visit lots of places then they're great.

I worked on cruise ships for 8 yrs and thoroughly enjoyed the life at sea....so much so I have been on 11 cruises as a passenger

Travel to lots of places in style , unpack once , food & entertainment that's all top class , do as much or as little as you wish and get amazing service from the crew.

No better way to travel in my opinion.

During the years as a crew member was never short of female company ....the saying goes " a sailor has a girl in every port" ...on a cruise ship it's "a sailor has a girl on every cruise "

Cardiiff

I was sceptical at first but the attention given to detail and customer service is impeccable.

The facilities on board are fantastic depending what ship you are on and the formal dress nights are great if that's your thing.

I like the idea of visiting different places getting off and then you can determine if you want to holiday there for a longer period.

It was a good way of visiting loads of different places without hassle of travelling but I spent every day off the ship terrified we were going to be late and miss the ship back.

I've been on 11 cruises and absolutely love it. I always sail from Southampton and always P & O. Have been to fantastic destinations and my favourite was 3 weeks in the Baltic to Russia and 7 other countries on one holiday. I love the dressing up and formal dinners. Spent xmas in the Caribbean and sailing across the Atlantic in a force 9 was interesting. Can't recommend it enough, just brilliant

Just got off the Oceana on Wednesday after a fab two weeks in the Med. Like yourself we have always used P&O and have done so over the last 15 years. We were on the Oriana over xmas and new year 2014/5, 24 days from So'ton to So'ton and spent New years day swimming with turtles, fantastic memories. Next cruise is on the Azura next Sep.

Sometimes U.K

Like most holidays, it's important to chose the right cruise ship and ports of call.

Do you want to spend 2 days getting to your destination? If not, then it's better to fly/cruise.
