Speed Dating - The results

Last night I went speed dating. I know some people were interested so I hope you both read this.

What a strange experience. Nerves played a big part to begin with and I very much stumbled through the first couple of dates. I didn't really know what to say and they were a little awkward.

I relaxed a little after that (and the second glass of wine) and things went a little better.

The question I was asked most was 'How old are you?' Not sure how I feel about that.

It was good fun. Something new and a little different, I'd recommend it to anyone just for the experience.

I think it would be great. I only have about 45 seconds of conversation before I bore myself to death.

"Oh how interesting!! I've always wanted to try that out!!

There were a couple of women of interest.

You get given a card which you fill out with the ones you like. Then put it onto the website, they let you know if you have any matches. No matches as yet.

"So do you just sit dowm and start asking questions. Is like a question and answer thing or conversation and how long do you get with each person

It was 4 minutes with each person. And you pretty much just sit down and start talking and hope that it flows easily.

The other people were nice, most seemed nervous which was actually a good thing because it made me feel a bit better.

"What was the first question you asked?"

I asked about music or books. I tried to make it different for each one so I asked about the last gig they went to, the last book they read, favourite musicians, authors etc. Nothing spectacular but things I find it easy to talk about

I did it for the first time 2 weeks ago (a bi event). Had a mint time and 4 matches (male and females). We've spoke a few times after and arranging dates. Love old fashion dating so much more civilised than on sites like this. Thinking about starting my own bi speed dating events.

There are speed dating events for 38-50 yr olds in Norwich, apparently, but that's the upper age limit.

"There are speed dating events for 38-50 yr olds in Norwich, apparently, but that's the upper age limit.

That seems a bit unfair."

It does a seem a little unfair.

"Last night I went speed dating.

Nice one for having the balls to do it "

Thank you
