I think that fab should become a chargeable site.

I honestly think that a standard fee of lets keep it at £5 for that little gold and silver badge would push so many time wasters out. The type that treats it more like Facebook than Facebook. I was on a site that was £16 pound a month and it was a breath of fresh air.

Really ?

Should I be surprised or not at the many who don't support the site, and get it for free

A fiver for 60 days is a piffling amount to pay.

But no fee would deter the morons and cockwombles.

I used to moderate on another adult site and they charged single guys £30 a month, and you got just as many knob heads on there as you do here

We wouldn't have joined fab if we were forced to pay for it, we used it and decided to become site supporters after success in meeting people here, we don't use SDC anymore because you have to pay for it and it isn't worth the money for the number of meets we get from it. Whereas we are happy to pay to fab because we continue to use it and get successful meets from it. We weren't time wasters before we paid for it and I imagine alot of others aren't.. we have had our time wasted by paying verified members before.. it means nothing really but we wanted to show our support to keep the site running.

Do you think that charging women and couples to be here would make more of them want to fuck you?

Do you think it would encourage more women/couples that want to fuck you onto the site?

Possibly it might be a little easier to find those people but I don't think it would increase your pool of potential meets, so it wouldn't help your success rate.

Arguably it would mean fewer women/couples that want to fuck you on the site, because many wouldn't join if they had to pay, making it even harder for you to find meets. There's also the chance that there would be more pushy, entitled men here and that would drive some women/couples off the site.

I certainly think any effect on the ease of finding meets would be more than eclipsed by the overall reduction of women/couples on the site.

I don't think it would make things better for you, or the majority of other members.

It *may* cut down on those who keep creating new accounts so they can contact someone they are harassing or stalking, but those people are in the minority anyway.

Surely if blokes (as mentioned above about other sites only charging men) were to pay a membership would thus create a bit more 'bullying' tactics if they couldn't get meets? Because they pay a premium and would 'expect' a meet?

How many signed up just for a month and thought 'well this is a waste of my £20+, didn't get one shag from it. I'd like to see the amount of people that would pay that kind of money EACH month to not gain from it? I'm guessing a vast majority cancelled the DD after one month.

Both Ads and I were supporters before we closed our accounts, we aren't here to meet but if this was a chargeable site, I'm not so sure we would pay now as we don't use it in that way

Hell no! I was a highly active member of Alt in the past - met my fella on there, ran a blog, chatted in the chatrooms and forums every day. Yeah, it's a dating site so slightly different, but at the end of the day I still came across a similar number of pillocks, despite, or perhaps because of the fee. That was pay for some...but you could still read blogs, _iew profiles and wink (so pay members could mail you back if they liked your profile), and go on most of the chatrooms. Much like here in many ways.

When looking to get back to it when my OH and I decided to play outside the lines, I found it was now pay for everything. Want to see more than a thumbnail? Get a subscription. Want to _iew a blogpost? Get a subscription. Want to chat to your friends? You get the picture. Needless to say, I didn't rejoin.

The only thing that charging for everything here would do is price out those who can't afford it. I couldn't care less if the person I meet is a farm labourer or a fancy lawyer...but you'd price out at least one of those. (Given the current state of the legal profession, I wouldn't be so quick to assume which either )

I'm a gold supporter too so I'm not trying to save my own skin here. But yeah, this place goes down that route and I'm orf!

I've been on sites that charge in excess of £30 a month.

The amount of fakes and timewasters on them is beyond comprehension.

Fab is a breath of fresh air compared to 99% of other sites.

As a single male I don't get many meets, so paying £10 £20 or £30 a month wouldn't encourage me to stay, it wouldn't be worth it.

paying to use a site isn't going to change someone's personality if there a idiot timewaster daydreamer what ever laying down some money to be here isn't going to change that fact .

I will say this though the number of men looking to play compared to women and couples looking to play does change on a paid site compared to a free one .

less men as they have to pay more woman and couples because they can join for free so the odds of a normal intelligent respectful guy standing out and being successful greatly increase especially on some site where its only 3 to 1 by that I mean three guys for every woman or couple looking to play.

Exactly my experience. Winked and messaged from members who were online and when I tried to _iew their profile "this member is no longer on site" or similar message. Only to be messaged again 15 minutes later by the same profile.

I manage to waste my own time well enough. I don't need any help!

Some features might be nice to have but I like sites that are easy to use.

Paying for a site doesn't make it better. I do subscribe but mainly because it's affordable and easier to follow messages.

"I think that fab should become a chargeable site.

I honestly think that a standard fee of lets keep it at £5 for that little gold and silver badge would push so many time wasters out. The type that treats it more like Facebook than Facebook. I was on a site that was £16 pound a month and it was a breath of fresh air.

Views?

Why jon here if the chargeable site was so much better.?

I'm still a member there but was originally here

Ahhh. The 'I was on a site that was £16 a month and it was a breath of fresh air ' statement lead me to thinkl of the past tense .. if that site is better stick with that and enjoy

I use both I just think it would make fab more productive on all accounts ..productive? what do you mean? "

It would trim back on some that are here just for compliments and the money could be invested to set up a section that provides an opportunity too book holidays aimed at the lifestyle soley

Who is here just for compliments? I've had compliments, give compliments and had my share of messages that are downright vulgur. Didn't join to get hassle.

Fab isn't a holiday company. There are people who do that already.

I couldn't afford £16 a month, it would not stop time wasters, anyway define time waster please. I chat to people to see if I want to meet them, if I do not meet I suppose that makes me a timewaster does it. We are talking about sex, hard core sex, health, safety ect ect here, not going out for a cup of tea. It's not a free for all, fill your cup with as much pussy or cock as you like. If you don't like how site is run or the people on it, leave.....Simples XXX

Best thing you can do is leave this site and set up your own, as you seem to think you know more than the site owners who have been running Fab for years. Goodbye OP, close the door on your way out.

Central

I think it would make little difference and we all potentially benefit from having access to a wider membership group if it's free.

Leave the onus on us as users to filter and determine who we want to meet and improve our skills, if we're getting failures. Admin work hard in the background ing out undesirables.

Free is good - having no barriers to joining, like a fee, increases take up and distinguishes us from a con site too.

Holidays? That's a bit random. Why would fab want to do that? It's a totally different business and potentially a hell of a lot of hassle.

Holidays?

Really, that's what you want your £16 a month invested in?

We'll have to rename Fab Thomas Cock.......

why not sort your own holiday out. Does your £16 a month site have a holiday section? Or better still they could invest in a string of hotels where we could have our meets

Newcastle upon Tyne

We joined SDS first but quickly came off as meets were pretty much none existent and the monthly fee us feel we were just wasting our money. We joined fab which seemed far more active and quickly became supporters.

If we had been made to pay a fee from the start we might not have stayed as we took time to find our feet and arrange meets.
