I'm only a 36B and between a 16-18 dress size and I know people with big busts who take smaller dress sizes. It's all relative but I'd say a D cup or bigger.

I hate expressions like milf and bbw anyway. Especially when women refer to themselves as one.

Being overweight doesn't get you into the bbw club.

I think it depends how tall you are. I know a lot of people say anything over size 16 but if you are tall 16 is not particularly big.

In my mind I class people as "big" if, where you would traditionally expects curves to go in, they go out. It should be an overall look not a dress size.

I design and make plus size fetish clothing for plus size ladies in the real world, I'm not fond of the bbw status myself but if it's any help I only create for ladies size 22 upwards only.

I see ladies smaller than this not to be in the plus size or bbw status range that's just my own opinion but I'm sure others have there own personal views on this.

The person themselves. Others may disagree but a sense of self and personal aesthetic is key.

Actually, it's a pretty valid point. Guys I have met as a larger and less large girl have all said that size is unimportant to them. It's face that visually attracts. And that is so subjective.

I think if you want to choose to label yourself as a BBW (which clearly lots of women do)& someone challenges you on either the size / beauty aspect then it just acts as another filter in the process of whether to meet or not.

someone called me names not long back, i can't even remember what he said.

Do you think these people see something you said on the forums that prompted these kind of messages? I'm much bigger than both of you and I've not gotten one.

A BBW to me would have a lot of excess fat. "

no, it was my prifle status.

i said i was dating myself and enjoying that and he said something about my appearence and insinuated i'd have to date myself. his profile said he was laid back as well so i said something about him not really being laid back then blocked him. idk what he said, like i said i put it out of my mind.

men just get frustrated on here about women doing what hey want and not what men want, i think it's a big shock for miogynists how this site actually is.

"So when it comes to BBW what sizes would you class someone as a BBW ? I'm between a dress size 16/18 and a 40DD chest

You'd be surprised (or maybe not) at the number of women on this site who would describe those measurements as 'curvy'!!

I'm a hater of the BBW term too. Anyone think of 3 letter abrieviation for women who are healthy, active and happy about it?

There are a lot of women who are a size 16/18 with DD tits whonare curvy, that is probably why

Or they could describe themselves as 'large'"

They could, but to many 16/18 isn't particularly large

"How is having excess fat remotely beautiful?"

Because size does not = beauty? I've been various sizes in my life. I still have the same face. The same hair. And I am the same me. I have never thought of myself as beautiful but I still look like me whatever size that may be. And those that found me beautiful before (like my mum) still do.

No, she's saying that the acronym stands for big beautiful woman. You can be a beautiful woman and not be big. But you can't be a big beautiful woman if you're not big AND beautiful. Big is but one component of the BBW definition, but you need the two B's together to be one. It doesn't mean that one automatically leads to the other.

Uk average is size 16 - not a good thing.

Be healthy active and happy. 'BBW' or simillar is irrelevant. Being overweight isn't something to aspire to.

You can be healthy and overweight, but only technically. I'm watching the Olympics and some of athletes are probably technically overweight - the rugby team for example.

But rolls and rolls of flab - not seen so many.

There's plenty of female athletes that probably weigh as much as some of the 'BBW' types on here. The rowers for example, but how many look like they'd be wearing size 16/18?

Given the musculature, I would expect many of the lady throwers, rugby players and swimmers wear a size 16/18. Possibly larger due to shoulder size etc.

Have you seen any swimmers or the like with rolls of flab?

Agreed- they could have that sort of musculature, that was the original point. But surely if they were on this site with those stats, they could legitiamtely select 'athletic'! I don't think any of them are glamourising obesity.

There isn't a set size because people's perception of themselves varies tremendously.

Some people belly ache over the use of the word beautiful in the label as if it's some great crime for women or the guys who like them to feel beautiful even though they don't confirm to societal norms of what beautiful is perceived to be.

Some quite clearly find it incomprehensible that anyone but the body beautiful can be seen as attractive let alone fuckable which is really quite tragic. Why we cannot simply accept people's differences and appreciate the fact that it is this diversity of attraction that makes society tick is beyond me.

As for the fit and healthy argument, of course some overweight people are putting themselves at risk of health problems but then some are not or at least not anymore than their slimmer counter parts. I am diabetic and 17 stone yet am easily twice as active as some of my perfect BMI scoring friends who eat chips and chocolate most days.

What does it matter what the average size in the UK is?

I'd say a 16 plus I'd a BBW it just means people are getting bigger not that woman at a size 16 are no longer big because a size 16 is now the national average
