Fucking hate it when a person deletes your message because you have no face pic even though you got some on your friends only like seriously do you really think we dont put a profile picture for no reason

The simple fact is that most women on fab get 10 messages with a pic attatched so the one with no pics, not even a cheeky bum pic, just means a lot more effort x

I tried to read your profile. Its hard going when there's no punctuation. I didn't get to the bit where it says you have a face pic on private as I'd given up reading before then

Do you know for certain the reason why your message was deleted because tut didn't send a face pic with your message or are you just guessing that's why? Did the profile in question state that as a requirement? Or maybe there's other reasons as to why it was deleted. I know in my case if it's clear that they're no where near what I'm looking for then it's an instant delete as I know they've not bothered reading my profile or they've ignored certain parts of it. At the end of the day no point stressing about it just move on.

some women get hundreds of messages. Not being horrible but why would they bother going to the effort of clicking on the guy who hasnt even bothered uploading a chest or body pic or sent one with his message? I'm not saying its fair but there are plenty of guys who do bother

yes it does say must have a profile pic it is a requirement i have my own reasons for not putting up one but at the end of the day like you said if they haven't read my profile it will get deleted yet some women like that dont even push a button to see if i have a picture or not downright laziness

I delete shadow avatar photos as in my experience they don't hang around for long.

Also looks like minimal effort has been made.

When my wife gets a message she will look at the profile first before reading the message, and if they don't meet her preferences and clearly not read her profile, instant delete, message the ones who meet what you're looking for, you may be more successful, instead of conducting a silly experiment and moaning about it on the forum.

The lady has done what she says in her profile. There are many single guys on here who wouldn't bother contacting ladies if they couldn't supply what she has asked for in her profile. Try messaging ladies who are not initially asking for a face pic.

Well we don't send face pics on initial contact, so if somebody has that rule, we move on, wouldn't even contact them.

Let me get this right. You read her profile first before sending the message where she asked for a face pic with any first message. You sent her a message anyway without attaching one and expected her to read it, click on your profile, read it and see that you have face pics in private? Why didn't you just attach it in the first place? Or explain in said picless message why you didn't send one? Your logic seems misplaced as does your outrage at the deletion. You didn't have to message her, you chose to knowing her preferences.

Your profile may well say that you have a face pic that can be sent, but that would mean the recipient being interested enough by your first message to even respond in the first place and then risk entering into dialogue with you just to find out what you look like. Truth of it is they probably have plenty of others that DO send a pic with the first message, so why would they bother?

Whilst we don't insist on a pic with the first message, invariably those that don't send one, or at the very least send a message that piques our interest AND have a profile that interests us, will get overlooked.

Might be time to rethink your strategy OP.

Yes we always do that when we send face pics privately. You have to be a site supporter to choose that option. You can select automatic removal of pics after reading, or you can removal them yourself at any time.

Personally I dislike messages from men who can't be bothered to have any sort of profile photo. Particularly if they feel entitled to anything from me.

The truth is OP with no profile picture as a guy you are narrowing your chances of meets and your messages being read .

What you have to decide is are you OK with that fact if you are then its a case of fuck all those who pass me by for this fact because I personally don't care about how you wish me to go about my business on site I'm happy with the way I do things .

The reason we insist on knowing what someone looks like at point of first message, is because it saves any embarrassment later. We will never ever ask for a face pic because I would hate to have to tell someone that we've communicated with that they are not for us. Secondly, it's not possible for me to be sexually interested in someone unless I know what they look like, and if I'm not sexually interested then there's nothing to cause me to push things forward.

We had a guy message us, practically begging us for a chance to be considered as a single guy at one of our house parties. He was local, in good shape, and had a few verifications, so I did read his profile carefully. He hadn't sent a face pic, which I thought was a bit odd considering. Then I saw in his profile that he doesn't send face pics just because the profile dictates that (which ours does), and stated he would rather get to know someone first before disclosing what he looks like. The word 'dictate' jarred with me a bit, but fundamentally I thought, if he wants to come to our parties we would have to give him our address. Why should we give our address to someone who doesn't want to send a picture of his face.

If we make first contact we always include a face pic of both of us. If he/they make first contact and we wish to pursue further, we will usually send a friend request which gives access to a range of pictures all including our faces. Our faces are partially visible in our public pictures anyway, so everybody has a rough idea of what we look like. We are not hypocrites - there is nothing in our profile that we require that we are not prepared to do ourselves.

I do check, do they meet single guys if so - tick, do they acomodate or do they do club or hotel meets tick, are they in Manchester or London tick. Am I attracted to them to want to fuck them - tick

There are people that I talk to and flirt with that are not in all of those it's just if they are then it's more likely I will want to play / be available to play

Exactly. If you pick someone up the old fashioned way (ie in a bar, not on line), the very first thing you would see is their face. Then you would see their clothed body. And finally when you get chatting you would see their personality. But the starting point has always been a face. Until the Internet.

Possibly. I've always assumed people want face pics because it's natural to want to know what someone looks like. Some people object to it, I'm guessing for privacy reasons. It's never occurred to me that withholding a face pic is something to do with control and insecurity.

Yes this is true but there's much more going on than that things that a static picture can not convey nor can messages .

Think the tilt of her head the swing of her hips the intensity in her eyes all these things are hard to capture in a static picture and almost impossible to convey in messages .

The fact is you can not beat a face to face meet and everything should be undecided until that meet takes place .

I've been on many a meet based on a picture thinking when I saw the picture god she's my type the same with her body god she's hot but when I was sitting opposite them there has been many a time I've just not fancied them .

At which point I'm left with a choice do I take sex if its offered to me or do I just say sorry I'm not feeling it .

I have always said sorry I'm not feeling it and there has been a good few times when I've been relieved to here them say it first .

But I can honestly say I can count the times on my hand when the woman I've turned down has been OK with it most act like they are but when you get in and check your profile the message you find left there proves the opposite to be the truth ."
so i should go to a social not knowing what someone looks like?one i would feel a bit vulnerable not knowing who im looking for, or they are there watching me, i think they havent turned up and when i leave they follow me, could potentially find out where i live and i dont even know what their face looks like when reporting to the police.

It boils down to this we can moan and gripe all day about the fairness or double standards the facts are women are the comodity (no disrespect intended at all) if we as men want to get responses we must be polite, nice, respectfull and play by their rules regarding face pics and such if we dont we will just get lost in the crowd

I get loads of men mail me asking to chat then offering to send a pic once we get on

That just seems a waste of time to me, so you could spend a week talking then swap pics and not fancy each other, does it not make more sense to talk to people you are attracted to?

Or maybe they think if you have chatted for a while you will meet them regardless

I think with the limitations of the Internet people just have to do the best they can to share as much information as possible before deciding to meet. Face and body pics are limiting as they do not show body movement or variations in expressions. But they show more information than not showing these photos at all. And most people know roughly from a picture if sexual attraction is realistic. From our Fab meets, we've yet to get it wrong, once we've looked at the profile carefully and had some text chat etc. We did get it wrong a quite a few times when we used Craig's List.

Craig List is an online classified ad website. Advertises anything from used cars to sex. We started off our journey that way, before we discovered Fab. Much harder to vet people though, because nobody has a profile and there is no verification system. Done entirely by email. Wouldn't recommend it.

I didn't say you should swap pictures what I said is you should base your choice on that or put to much faith in them for the reason I listed .

dear god woman read what I said I was responding to a reason for wanting to see a picture which I believe to be valid but why you should not base your choice to have sex around that picture nor get your hopes up on it happening again for reasons I listed .

look I've gladly given the veg of my car to a woman I was meeting for the first time in the past so she could pass it on to a friend,

I just happen to think basing the choice to talk to someone solely off of a static pictures is a little short sighted in my opinion and it goes with out saying bit conceited choosing not to meet then based off of that picture is valid but choosing to not chat is not valid really .

but hay I'm not a swinger I'm not looking for random hook ups if I was I may just go off of a picture alone but I'm looking for a mind set a way of being something a picture can never give me .

for that I need to sit opposite them and discuss with them the dynamic I and hopefully they enjoy if the dynamics there the odds are I'm going to find them attractive even if their body and face are less than perfect .
