having recently found the forums andreading through, there are cetain replies given that i think wow...fab or just plain lol

now i noticed that there is a report button but do you think there could be room for a "like" button???

Ive often thought we need a 'like' button, just to show signs of agreement without having to add a comment or post on the issue.

I think the thumbs up is great but only when the reader agrees but doesn't have anything to add as it would save thread space. Anything with a negative is open to abuse. Some would just click thumbs down to be a git. Those that don't like can carry on as before and either post another viewpoint or ignore if they don't feel strongly enough to add anything.
