Well I work in a school.

Firstly would not like local parents to know, who knows what they'll do with that information.

Secondly, you have to adhere to a set of standards that apply in and out of school in regard to professional behaviour and rightly or wrongly 'swinging' may fall foul of that.

So if people never send pics because of this, how do they meet and if parents find out would they really do anything as they are on here also and would hope they would be discreet? Pretty sad state of affairs if someone who may recognise someone on here then goes blabbing and telling on them.

I'm governed by professional standards, I have a face pic, no nudity, and polite blurb, the same as I would on a dating site. (This is a legal site after all.)

I'm fairly confident if I was brought to a professional standards hearing my right to a private life would see me right.

If myself and someone else chose to send material privately that's our business as long as the laws of the land are maintained.

So if someone's not prepared to send you a face pic, they're either scared or full of shit!

It's called KIK messenger! Totally private and without sending your phone number. I will not upload my face pic on here at all. Doesn't make me fake in the slightest! My in person verifications prove this. This site can get hacked. After the whole Swingfield disaster I will not upload my face pic on here. I don't need too. There are many other options. If I'm seen on here by work colleagues, my career would be over. I work in a male dominated industry. There's no way I'm risking my job over providing someone my face pic. Not when there are other options of doing so. If anyone isn't happy with that...tough lol. Plenty more guys that are.

OP you have your way of doing things, let other get on with doing things their way. Happy days!

Wrong! A popular daily newspaper printed in blurred face pics of people at Swingfields. I dread to think how those people must of felt knowing their families saw what they got upto. Banks do not print personal banking information in newspapers! Same newspaper has been known to send their staff OK to this site to disclose more people and see parties. I used to have my face pic on this site but like heck will I again. That's not being paranoid. That's being sensible. No one has the right calling me fake just because I refuse to load my face pic on here for them to see. I will not be pressured by anyone. Instant block to those that do that. My in person meets verifications prove all anyone needs to know. I'm happy to send my face pic via kik messenger.

I know . There's some pretty nasty people around. Also on this site too. Revealing my personal info on their status just because I refused to meet them. Some people love trying to humiliate other people. Fab is supposed to be fun. Not bitchy. Not a place to stamp your feet when things don't go your way. So let's just smile and carry on searching for those meets that do match our needs, rather then bitch about those that don't. (Kinky this isn't aimed at you by the way ) x

"What was the Swingfields disaster?

A swingers open festival. Very popular with hundreds of people's. A daily popular newspaper printed unblurred face pics of swingers onto their newspaper. Exposing them to the British public. They've sent staff on here to expose more people and more sex parties. No way will I risk my private life exposed just to give a demanding person on here my face pic. Not when there are other private options elsewhere. "

I heard about this a few weeks ago. Won't send my face pic to anyone now and prefer a social to decide

"What's that all about then? Do employers monitor fab accounts or something ? Or are they secret agents for MI5? "

OP would you be willing to send your pic first?

This may be a personal bug-bear of mine but i have found a few people ask for face pics and not send one in return then they either disappear or block you. I find that more annoying as it's a one way street and really puts me off sending any pic.

I know i won't be to everyones taste but do feel there is a general lack of courtesy and politeness on the site even when it's a no

Yes, for safety reasons I'm not meeting someone I don't know what they look like. Equally I wouldn't expect it the other way round. Plus how do I know it's not a complete waste of time as there's no attraction. Just my observation anyhow.

Kik: I don't like as its mis used. Rather send to a well verified person here.

Like i said its a personal bug-bear as i find it discourteous. As daft as this may sound I dont mind being told no i do mind rude discourteous behaviour.

As for being recognised then that's more worrying. If someone recognises me but decides to hide themselves is it any different than the swingfields outing that a newspaper did? Invading someones privacy and pitting their private lives out publically?

I think some people are so desperate for a shag, attention and don't really get that other people play/conduct themselves differently.

Some are in jobs that will not matter, others that it does.

If people dictate how I am expected to conduct myself, they can fuck off.

To not have a face pic amongst your public pics is fair enough. As evidenced above.. some people seem to be oblivious for the need to be cautious due to job role and others seem to be much more understanding.

There are 100% definitely jobs that if you were revealed to be on here it would have an impact. Not necessarily a straight up sacking but it would be massively frowned upon and affect your reputation. If face pics were couples with nude pics then could likely be a sacking for many people.

To people saying: "well the person who may reveal this, they're on here too so what's the problem?"

It may not impact on them at all for it to be public knowledge that they're on here. And, more to the point, it really would not take a PhD in being sneaky to reveal it anonymously.

To not send any face pics at all - ie in private, doesn't necessarily suggest they're ugly or cheating etc (it could!) They may just be very very cautious. But in that instance, it's understandable that they're not going to get a meet and they'll have to lump it.

Yeah but if I've got to exclude their child or do something they don't agree with, they gonna use that info in some way. It's just too awkward.

I dont do face pics any more. If people insist upon them then ill just have to leave it. There are some jobs where the consequences of being outed would be too great. I suppose the argument could be that those people shouldn't be on here at all, but we all have our limits. There's a big difference between meeting people face to face where both parties are compromised, and having an obvious profile on a public forum which anyone can screenshot. I have been stalked by someone on here I never met, but who recognised me and followed me around town for months. Turned out he lived near me and we worked at same company. My recent partner was also blackmailed after he visited a club and someone found him on linked in. He lost his job. There are people on here who will blackmail and stalk others, and I dont blame people for excercising due diligence especially if being outed would ruin their career and that of those connected to them.

I've never hidden my identity on here through my singles profile or this couples one. I work in the public sector and have no fear that how I conduct my private life, within the law, would impact on that.

That said when I was applying for the Prison Service I was very much made aware how exposed I would be on here and how this kind of behaviour could be deemed to leave me vulnerable for blackmail and therefore would have been a sackable offence.

I think in certain circumstances it is prudent not to be so open, but I think with gut instinct and experience there is no reason at all as to why you can't exchange face pictures with someone you are eventually hoping to meet.

Lancing

I work in the NHS for a profession that has a very strict regulatory body.

They have struck people off the register for less over things they deem to have brought the profession into disrepute in the public's eye.

It could only take a single message to them from someone to trigger a fitness to practice investigation.

I decided to keep my face pictures to friends only and attached to messages for that reason, as it's not worth potentially losing my livelihood over a better looking profile on a sex site.

I've no problem with face pictures being sent via a private message on site, my or our gripe is with those who ask for "face" pictures to be sent with message or we will block you, and yet their profile has no pictures at all, and the best one yet is a new profile this very day local to us that has as an opening line "face pictures with all messages or no reply but don't ask us as we are professional and can't or wont send out our face picture not even by E-mail of phone app" .

Guess who is on our Block list even before they contact us lol

I work in a public job so no doubt would at some point get recognised if my face pics were public (I made this mistake when I first started on here) however I have no problems showing my face pics to folk I'm chatting to or messaging as its given that should we randomly meet neither of us would say "oh I seen you on fab". So I would say there most likely not really who they make out to be. That's just my opinion

why should it bother anyone really, plenty of pictures on here that don't resemble the person, in any way, shape or form..

in the eye of the storm

"What's that all about then? Do employers monitor fab accounts or something ? Or are they secret agents for MI5? "

I can think of two thousand people who would recognise me if a had my face up as a profile picture .

this fact makes me even think carefully about who I show my face to by that I mean I don't even bother with profiles who say no face picture no reply unless they have their face on show in them circumstance's I will consider approaching them and send a face picture but only if I feel going off of there profile its worth my while doing so .
