Life as a tall person

For those of you who didn't already know, I am a tall bird..

However, I was not always a tall person..

Prior to my 14th year I was a fairly average height ( 5'6ish ) and then I had a growth spurt and shot up a further 6", so when I returned to school after the summer holidays I found myself with the dubious honour of being the tallest female in the school!

Luckily for me, my mum always told me to 'stand tall and be proud of your stature', and I have to say my newfound asset certainly shut the bullies up

I love being tall and I enjoy the attention I get, especially when I wear heels..

However I don't understand why some men lie about their height, or conversely assume I am lying about my height? I often get greeted with 'wow, I didn't realise you were so tall'

So guys if I can see over the top of your head, you definitely aren't 6', so less of the rounding up and start rounding down instead

I'm 6ft1 and a bit but just say 6ft1.

Never understand guys who lie about their height, it's not like you won't get found out

On the other hand I wish I was shorter. I have a 33" waist and a 34" inside leg.... buying the right sized trousers is a huge issue.

For years (mid to late teens) I looked like a gangsta because of over sized waist bands to try and fit the long leg. A huge dangling crotch with a flaps of material bunching up around the back. Really not flattering at all. Being extremely skinny and over 6' didn't do me any favours in school!

And now, yes I guess I am still young, but back problems are already starting to happen!
