Is it good?

Is it overhyped?

Is it shite???

I wanna go see it but I've heard mixed reviews. A mate has seen it and loves it, mainly because of Harley Quinn, obviously

As it stands DC are being outgunned by Marvel. But what Marvel lacks in most of its films are bad guys. And convincing bad guys at that. If DC can open up a multiverse within its own cinematic universe then the sky's the limit regarding villains. Would mean we could see the likes of Darkseid coming into the fold. Which would be awesome!!

Loved it. Really good film. Fun moments, especially with HQ, some really dark moments with Diablo.

We both enjoyed it, also has - cracking soundtrack!! It's an obvious setup movie to open more of the DC universe and I'm sure a justice League next year will reference it a fair amount. Just sit back and take it for what it is, I heard people trying to compare it to Avengers and the Marvel Universe but try to ignore those movies when watching this.

Joker was seriously underused in my opinion though.

Take the plunge, go see it with an open mind and influence free.

If you have expectations built on what others write etc then your experience won't be as fair or as enjoyable.

I'd never heard of them before the film came out. When I saw the posters I thought it was a band rather than a film and went "psh what a rip off of slipknot".

The trailer was ok but not good enough to make me see it.

Totally agree re: great soundtrack and Joker being underused.

I'm not usually interested in this sort of thing but thought what the hell (the fact Jared Leto was in it had nothing to do with it of course ...) and actually found, as a bit of action packed, over the top silliness mixed up with some larger than life characters, that it was a lot of fun! So much so I'd now be much more open to seeing other DC films than I was before. We saw it in 4DX as well which probably added to the experience.

It's not as bad as a lot of people say, but it's not brilliant. There are no real surprises in it. The film has a curiously empty feeling about it and I found it hard to care about the baddies being defeated. The Joker is criminally underused, Will Smith is himself and instead of playing Deadshot as a hardened assassin he plays him as a sympathetic family man. Harley Quinn gets all of the best lines, but doesn't really convince as belonging in the squad, as she just brings a lump of wood to a super powered fight.

I've just got back from watching it and have to say I was very disappointed I not. Tho fine it could have been so much better. So far the superman films and this one have been a big let down. Joker was superb though I'm hoping he will be used a big part in further films

It's like some Warner Bros executive saw Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 years ago and said "Let's just do that!".

It's just a big big mess of a film, there was probably some sort of plot in there that was ruined by the confusing edit.

Characters didn't really act at all like they should have, and the film completely ruined the interesting bad-guy dynamic by making them all chummy.

I really wanted to like it, but it's just a huge disappointment and no fun at all.

Unfortunately after same critics panned dawn of justice it was taken back for re shoots and re edits! Dc is darker and so should rightly be I enjoyed the film and am hoping the dvd version will put more sense into it

Very harsh. The trouble with "team" hero movies is everyone kind of needs equal time. Therefore limited straight away.

There is scope for some better development than marvel here. Suicide Squad aside, it does need to stay dark in my opinion. Lots of directions to go down. Plus I'm hoping for a Darkseid movie.

We enjoyed the movie but the enemy was over powered for this kind of movie, the actors played their roles really well except for Jared Leto "Joker" he acted brilliantly only problem was the look he had was more "hip-hop gangsta" than psycho mob boss (not his fault) and Margot Robbie "Harley" she was most disappointing, her look was fine similar to the New52 comic line but some of her dialog and actions was nothing like Harley

(e.g. Knocking herself out, telling people what voices in her head are saying)

Harley doesnt realise no one else hears the voices so she never mentions hearing them to others and she wont actually cause herself harm cause she may be a psychopath/psychiatrist but shes not stupid.

The one thing that should have been included in her performance is a Brooklyn New York accent which is where Harley is from

Besides those gripes the movie was great and we will likely watch it again soon

My Own Little World

Watched it yesterday.

Ummmm where to start... the characters were boring, very one dimensional and I couldn't give a shit if they lived or died.

I thought it was a big, muddled pointless mess. They seemed to just go from set piece to set piece, a super heroes movies should do this then this, very paint by numbers.

And the background music was dire.

Good bits, Margo Robbie walking away from camera and Jared Leto's Joker was very good I thought.

Very over hyped.

I think it's great, it was humorous and worth watching just for HQ herself!

Marcus was disappointed but he's a Marvel fan lol, it wasn't like he deliberately avoided watching Harley though.

The camera work was a bit off, it was blurry all over the place when you least expected it - but that might have just been their way of making the 3d more pronounced.

All in all, I loved it!

Watched it today. Nice film, but If waller just killed the heart of enchantress in the beginning, wouldn't the whole mission have been unnecessary???

I didn't realise Marilyn Manson was casted as the joker

Mainly watched it for Harley Quinn..

Despite the presence of Idris Elba, and going against most of the critical response, I much preferred the first Suicide Squad film to the second one. Although I admit in regard to the first film I am yet to be convinced by Cara Delevingne as an actress.
