Spiders - although I can handle small ones these days. I'm trying my hardest to beat this phobia.

Snakes - I love snakes and watching documentaries about them but I can't be seen anywhere near them! Get the heeby jeebies if any of them are in the same vicinity as me.

The eight legged beasties get me every time!!

I frequently have to force myself to control it to do my job.

Though I can maintain a cool looking demeanour when I do encounter them, my inner dialogue is actually more akin to a screaming child that is shitting breeze-blocks!!!

Don't mention them by name for goodness sake, it's like Beetlejuice. They are known as hateful creatures with more than seven legs.

I'm also not great with needles (handy for someone prone to chronic anemia and low blood pressure).

I'm also not fabulous on high up things, but that's mainly due to being both ridiculously clumsy and having a strange inner voice that wonders curiously what diving head first off the top of something high would feel like (not in a depressed sense I hasten to add before you all send me the number for the Samaritans).

Basically, I'm a wuss.

I don't like spiders much either but my big phobia (weird alert) is tomato ketchup. It makes me feel sick and shivery, I can't bear it near me on a table, or watch adverts for it ... all slopping out and gloopy and revolting. If my family have it I can't look at their food, the smell makes me ill ... someone waves a bottle near me and I get all panicky and anxious. Don't even like walking past the display in a supermarket. Not joking.

Don't know why, know it's irrational but then that's phobias for you.

Zombies. Terrified of them since I was four. Or perhaps the zombocalypse is closer to it! Weirdly better with them since Walking Dead/Zombieland made them a cultural norm.

Needles have me hyperventilating, roaches make me vomit.

I'm bad with heights, but I don't possess correct depth perception or balance, so I believe that to be perfectly rational!

Spiders and heights.

Spiders just seem to be getting bigger and bigger.

I went hill walking two weeks ago and went up an incline to the top (was perfectly safe on a path) turned around to enjoy the view, saw how high up I was and and how steep the drop to the side was, and i went all shaky and a bit panicky

I find it amazing how people can be so afraid of creatures that have been on the planet the same length of time we have. Are we so divorced from the natural world we treat the creatures on it like aliens?

I have a phobia for armadillos. I don't mind spiny anteaters, or even pangolins but armadillos give me the willies. I have made it clear in my profile that armadillos are off limits just in case anyone happens to have one at home.
