Calling all Samsun S5 Neo Owners.

Is the S5 Neo any good. We have just upgraded to the S6 and there are two features that the S6 has not got that our s5 has... If you get a text and do not read it the phone reminds you after 10 mins. Also you can set a delay on a text so when you press send you have about 10 seconds to read it on screen and if you have made a mistake you can press a cross on the screen and bring the text back to the entering area. Any other samsung phones any good. Not sure the budget is going to go to the S7 just yet.

I have an S7 and, save for one minor niggle, I'm very pleased with it.

I didn't want an S6 because it has no slot for an additional memory card.

We sent our S6's back today. Moving networks first. There are not many galaxy's that are that quick apart from the top end. s5 s6 s7 all are quick but the rest appear to be a lower speed. So not sure what to do right now... Would love to get another s5 but if google have already done an update then the feature I like may be gone.

The S6 does have a notification reminder on it, but it's not set as active by default you'd need to change it in the settings.

As to the speed of the Galaxy series of phones, you've got to consider the way smart phones have come on in leaps and bounds since they were first released. Old tech like my S1 is going to be slower than an S5 due to processor improvements less RAM

Having said that the main thing that slows down all of the Samsung phones is Touch Wiz, if your willing to void your warranty you can root your phone, rwmove some of the bloat ware or even flash a new custom ROM like Cyanogen Mod and then you've got a really blinding fast phone.

Personally I modded the hell out of my old S3 and up until it had falling from a height accident a few months ago it was still working and quick enough to handle pretty much all bar a few top end apps.

All depends on how comfy you are with messing around with your phone as the worse case scenario is you hard brick it and you have a very new expensive paper weight instead of a working phone
